I was just looking at this site and it has the GH cd (it states that it was just realeased) so I thought I'd pass it along. There is no listing for GH at Amazon yet. Anyway, have a great day......

GH (US Version) is also available for download at iTunes.com. I got Sympathy for the Devil from it yesterday.
Odd, yet probably meaningless.

What does the actual disc look like?
It looks like this.
The rainbow effect in the picture comes from the scanner and it's not on the disc. It's plain silver with those "scratches".
Looks kinda crap.........best thing is the rainbow effect from the scanner
HAHAHA !
I will never, ever buy this thing....

What's up with the credits? All of a sudden WTTJ, Sweet Child, Paradise City and Patience aren't written by Guns N' Roses anymore...
Jeffrey Isbell, Saul Hudson, Michael McKagan??? They weren't in Guns N' Roses. If the bassist in your band is called Michael, and the guitarist called Jeffrey then you're not the most dangerous band in the world, you're the most stuck up band in the world.
And I still can't get over the fact that they spelled Appetite wrong...

Steven's drumming made the band; he made a big musical difference. His sense of swing was the push and pull that gave those songs their feel, afterwards, nothing worked.

This is the first official Guns release in a long time, and they dont even bother to proofread the final product or respect the guys who made it - Izzy, Slash and Duff to name a few.
Dont you get the feeling that there's someone in there (the record label I mean) deliberately fucking things up?

Yeh i noticed the writing credits thing. I was thinking perhaps it's a result of all the law suits and legal shit that we hear has been going on? Strange though....bit silly really.
Note how they didn't dare write William Bailey lol
Anyway i'm looking forward to tomorrow seeing a new GNR record in stores. I wonder how many of the people who are against it will end up buying it
Hope it does resonably well(top 20 would be decent considering) , it will have served some purpose then perhaps.

Greatest Hits promotion reaches AP news stories:
EU Membership Erases Town's WWII Split
AP - 1 hour, 1 minute ago
Guns and roses
define this town's postwar history. The guns ? and the border guards who toted them ? are now only a memory. So is the Iron Curtain that split Gorizia between Italy and Yugoslavia after World War II.

There was small piece in the Belfast Telegraph called "Roses With Thorns".
It's the usual story of how the band became big and then split. He says that while some of the songs are good some of them shouldn't be on the album.

There are no sleeve notes/booklet! Only writing credits / Spelling errors and far too many cover songs

Greatest Hits out in Germany / TV ad
[/u]
I went to a local store and they already had the Greatest Hits album, thought it was kind of cool to see a "new" GN'R album. Paper cd case though.
Later my girlfriend an me were watching tv and joking around in her bed, suddendly I heard November Rain and saw an ad for the Greatest Hits.
Exciting day ;-)

On a postive note I was on play.com and the greatest hits is number 2 on the top 10 best seller and I was in HMV and loads of people picked up a copy. So Geffen did say they were gonna see how this album was gonna do and release Chinese Democracy so hopefully they'll bring it out soon so its a goos sign if the album sells. I live in the UK btw.

Do we want the GH to flop and be able to say.. see I told you so.. it was a load of rubbish?
Or do we want the GH to be a success and be proud of GNR getting back up there for the world to see?

I was just watching Tech TV and they aired a commercial for "Greatest Hits". It was a 30 second spot with WTTJ in the background and a bunch of different pix of the band. At the end, the slate was for

. $15 plus $5 S&H.
