This song in my opinion is cool musically but lyrically and melody wise I didnt like it at all.

Ive never been much of a Metallica fan though so take that with a grain of salt.

I just have never been able to connect with Metallica.

fucking awesome  :rockon

still the best band iv ever seen

i thought GNR were brilliant friday night but metallica went one better, they were louder and played longer too

of course i nearly didnt make it to the show at all, i live about 60 miles from the venue and left yester evening about 4 o'clock, but it was only when i was in Dublin that id realised i forget my ticket   luckily enough my parent were going on holidays yester evening so they brought the ticket to the airport with them and i met them there then had to rush to the venue, arrived just at 8, it was the same venue that GNR played friday night but there was more people here last night, they came on stage about 10 mins later and started with creeping death and then fuel, the sound was great and louder than friday also

i didnt venture too close to the front, we just held our ground, they then played the unfogiven which was great, a recording then came on, it was james saying that 20 years ago they entered a studio in sweden to record master of puppets, to celebrate that and reward the fans they were going to play the entire album, man the place went nuts, and sure enough battery and master of puppets belted out followed by the thing that should not be and then at last, i was finally going to get to hear sanitarium live for the first time :rockon it was awesome, a hugh moshpit broke out beside me, glad i wasnt in it, they continued to play the rest of the album including orion, i thought it was really cool

after that james anounced that this was a very special day, it was someones birthday and that someones mom had brought them to the show, it was james daugher kayle (sp) birthday, he brought her out and 40,000 fans sang happy birthday to her, although she looked nervous i think she really enjoyed it

there was then a mass of rockets and explosions on stage that meant one was next, the intro was really spectacular and was followed by enter sandman and they then said theyr goodbyes, when they returned there was the usual shoust of whiskey from the crowd as there always in ireland, and sure enough they didnt disapoint, the place went nuts when whiskey in the jar came on, they then finished with seek and destroy

lars announced that theyd return next year with a new album and a new tour  :rockon

what a night, only complaint was that they didnt play fade to black

im sure i left a few songs out but im still buzzin and cant quite remember

i recorded a bit with my phone including the full whiskey in the jar, qualitys pretty shit tho  Sad

I saw Metallica on Saturday at Download.? It was intense to hear the whole of Master Of Puppets.? Orion sounded amazing, it was a privelage to be there.? They played it all flawlessly, One was brilliant.? What a band.? They showed that being heavy isn't all about double-kick drums throughout whole songs or just creating a wall of noise and tunelessly shouting/screaming.? They were heavier than all the other bands I saw, except maybe Strapping Young Lad who are also awesome - fuck are they brutal - and know how to do screaming/double-kick/wall of noise properly, if you know what I mean? Cool

I looked around and there must've been over 80000 people watching, surely more.? Not sure how many were there for GN'R as I was down the front for that one.

I still think GN'R were better though? ok

According to a press release issued by the Estonian concert agency BDG, METALLICA's June 13, 2006 concert at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds in Estonia was attended by around 78,000 people ? breaking all previous audience records (the previous record was set by MICHAEL JACKSON in 1997).

Preparations for the massive event started already last Friday (June 9). METALLICA arrived in Tallinn few hours before the show and left with police escort right after the concert to Austria. The band also gave a unique small press conference to the Baltic press. Some traditions continued: "Like in year 1999 when METALLICA was here first time, we went with drummer Lars Ulrich for a half-hour run by the seaside near the venue," commented executive producer of the show, Peeter Rebane from BDG. "This show crossed all our expectations. I'm convinced that both the band and the audience got unforgettable memories."

Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and the Mayor of Tallinn J?ri Ratas came to greet the band before the show. Georgian Defence Minister was also present at the concert.

METALLICA's show in Tallinn was the only one in Northern Europe and brought to Estonia almost 30,000 people from the neighbouring countries. "It is great for our concert tourism," commented Peeter Rebane.

METALLICA setlist for Tallinn show ? June 13, 2006:

01. Creeping Death
02. Fuel
03. Wherever I May Roam
04. For Whom The Bell Tolls
05. Fade To Black
06. Battery
07. Master Of Puppets

14. Sad But True
15. Nothing Else Matters

METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich told Mike Davies of BBC Radio 1 during this past weekend's Download festival in England that the group's new album will not be released until the summer or early fall of 2007. "I think we've realized that the creative process works a little slower for us than it used to," he explained. "And we're OK with that. It's not a bad thing, unless, of course, you're waiting for a record." Asked if he thought it was scary that everybody seemed to know everything about the band since the "Some Kind of Monster" movie was released, Ulrich said, "No, it's not scary. I'm proud we put that shit out there. It's just kind of weird because it's like four years ago. Everybody's kind of still assuming that that's the way it is now, which is like? couldn't be further from the way it is now. We're in the studio, no psychiatrists, no film crews? everybody's getting along, having a great time. [We're] just kind of doing our thing. Back on that record [2003's 'St. Anger'], it was just a very different experience 'cause we had to kind of get it back together. Now everything's cool."

METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett recently told the Artisan News Service that the band have "about fifteen songs" written for the follow-up to 2003's "St. Anger", which they hope to release in early 2007. In a short interview conducted at the MAP MusiCares MAP Fund concert on May 12 honoring Hammett's METALLICA bandmate James Hetfield, Kirk admitted the band is really hitting the song writing groove, even busting out two to three new songs per week.

"It's pretty early in the process," Hammett told the Artisan News Service. "We have about fifteen songs or so and we're just going to keep on writing songs until we feel we have the best dozen songs and get those into the studio. That's when I think Rick (Rubin) comes in and does his thing. But it's really really early still, we're just writing the music and that's going along really well. Sometimes we're writing two or three songs per week, which is great. It's just us four in the studio, which is really different now."

What's up with Metallica?

I hear they kick ass these days.

Good, I hope they tour Europe more.

Damn, they still owe me 50 euros for the cancelled show 2 years ago in Croatia.

Payback time.  rofl
