They release 3 - THREE bad albums. Load,Re-Load,and St. Anger are sub-par albums. They also have changed as people. They are greedy and don't give a shite about the fans. They are sooooo self consumed these days it pathetic. I think Aliens sucked out thier brains in 1995. Lars just makes me sick. James is a fag. Undecided

It's even worse than you think. They have 5 terrible albums (not just sub-par, terrible): Metallica, Load, Reload, St. Anger, and S&M. Their decent albums are overrated. Master Of Puppets is not that good, and Ride The Lightning was a huge step down from Kill 'Em All. Kill 'Em All and ...And Justice For All are really the only Metallica masterpieces, and they aren't even as good as the competition. Put them up against Rust In Peace, Fear Of Tomorrow, Hell Awaits, Fistful Of Metal, Bonded By Blood, Pleasure To Kill, Persecution Mania, and so on, and they just don't sound that good anymore.

Yet people still keep making threads about them... Roll Eyes

If you disilke the band so much, don't listen to them. It's that easy ok
Don't listen to Walk, he likes to talk out of his ass.

METALLICA have posted the following message on their official web site:

"So there we are, hanging out at HQ getting ready for our first visit to South Africa, and a call comes in wondering if we can leave a few days early and stop by New York to induct a bunch of guys from Birmingham, England (they're called BLACK SABBATH, you might've heard of them) into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It took us all of 3/4 of a second to say 'Fuck yeah!!'

"BLACK SABBATH wrote the book on heavy music, and like many other snot-nosed kids, we read it religiously over and over again. For all of us in METALLICA, BLACK SABBATH are a major influence not only on our music, but on our lives, and as you can imagine, we're psyched to join Bill, Geezer, Ozzy, and Tony for the induction ceremony on Monday, March 13.

"Not only will we be inducting SABBATH, we are going to make a humble attempt at playing some of their songs live in front of the gathered masses, including, most humbling of all, the four members of the band themselves.

"If you want to check it out, VH1 will be there with their cameras.

Apparently they played two songs - "Iron Man" and "Hole In The Sky".

That should be cool to see. Pantera's version of Hole in the sky was awesome.

Karen Breytenbach of South Africa's The Star is reporting that a power cut stopped heavy metal legends METALLICA dead in their tracks 10 minutes into their set at their Cape Town concert on Saturday (March 25).

Baffled by the sudden silence of their instruments, the band's lead singer, James Hetfield, joked: "Who forgot to pay the electricity bill?", adding that the backstage excuse was that the equipment "could not handle metal."

The Western Cape has been plagued by power cuts in recent months, and the crowd waved their lighters until power was restored.

Big Concerts marketing and advertising executive Michael Anetakis said the reason for the outage was unclear, but it was probably due to one of the generators tripping.

The power cut wasn't the only problem experienced, with thousands of music fans also having to stand in long bar and food queues for hours in the baking sun at the Coca-Cola Colab Massive Mix concert at Green Point Stadium on Saturday, in a repeat of last week's chaotic scenes at the first concert of the tour in Centurion.

In the afternoon, beer-drinkers were told they could buy only two at a time, while Nando's started running out of supplies by 6:00 p.m.

i have a question regarding the scale-    is 10 the most they can suck? or is 1 because its the lowest number.

anyway i never heard of this metallica band,  what kind of music do they play?    is that the singer? he looks like a pirate with those ear rings.

I'm not too thrilled with the direction Metallica has gone in over the past few years, but at concerts there are very few bands as powerful as them.  They still kick major ass live.

that is why I rated them an 8.5, because thier live show is still strong.

They have sucked since 1998 but maybe this next album will be good. I think it will.

St. Anger was just flat out terrible.

It wasn't terrible. It just wasn't made right.. The emotion and the drive was there but the band wasn't. Too much going on during that time.. The new shit should be a hell of a lot better.

I'm going to go with an 8.5, only because thier live show has some redeeming qualities yes

Ten.

I never thought I would say that in a million years.

They suck for so many reasons........mostly because they just suck.
