I hope they use more instruments, cause they have worn off the potential of their 5 instruments.

I think with a tuned snare drum and Guitar Solos back in Metallica the 5 instruments they play will be just fine.

 peace

the drums were just horrific. bleh.

more instruments? your wish is my comand. the next album is gonna have piano.. flute.. acoustic bass... bongos... theyre gonna call it "Use Your Imagination" and its gonna be a double album.

see you metallica fans in 06. UYI1&2 STARTS NOW!

Yeah, since with better production and guitar solos, St. Anger would sound just like Kill 'Em All, right?  Roll Eyes It's the riffs that are missing!

everytime I watch "some Kind of Monster" I get pissed off.

I dont care what any of u say, that CD kicks fucking ass when they are working on it in the studio.

whatever happened after they recorded though, fucked it up.

I love the songs in studio but the CD did suck.

that makes no sense to me.

If someone had told you just before it was released that the St Anger album was a demo (or work in progress) you'd believe them.  I can't believe a band like Metallica released something so sloppy.  They didn't even wait for Rob to join to record the bass parts!  It's almost amateurish the way they rushed that cd out.

Still it's all been gone over before.  I just hope they have enough left in them for the next album to make up for it.  I don't want to hear 45 year old anger if it's seems fake, I want to hear them write some proper songs.

How much longer do you think Metallica have left in em? I can see em going for another 15 to 20 years.

I'm getting so sick and tired of Metallica bashers, it annoys me a whole lot more than the stuff they make I don't like. People treat them like they're the only band that makes "crappy albums" and cares more about money. I think a hundred other bands are the same way, Metallica just speak their minds more. I don't think albums like Load and Reload makes them sell-outs, they were just moving on instead of repeating the same thing over and over.

Aren't u supposed to be defending the ''quality' output of Metallica?

So we think they make crap albums, u agree they put out crap albums - are we actually arguing at all? hihi

Yeah, I know.

I have mostly seen him in Ozzy's band and he is amazing. I think that he will change Metallica in a very, very good way.

That would be awesome if they played some new songs. I'm really keen to hear what direction they're going in. I think the next album will be very heavy but not in a St Anger way. I'm thinkin more of a Black/Justice. What do u think the next album will be like everyone?

I can honestly say I have no idea what this next album is gonna sound like.  I hope it sounds like something from 1983-1989, and I pray it doesn't sound like St. Anger.  It would be really cool if they debuted some stuff on tour.

I'd assume it would sound like St Anger with solo's - which would still be dreadful. I suppose it could be a 'Re-reloaded' album, radio friendly and utterly souless music...

A thrash album would be intresting but would most likely be a disaster, not sure if a band could pull of decent thrash metal in this day and age without it sounding like some B-sides session from the 80's

Frankly i think Metallica have run out of steam and its about time they considered side projects to get some new ideas and maybe reform Metallica in 5-10 years time when they are focused again - but they are no longer hungry, and probably done all the can with the current members.

Yeah and then they'll be in their 50's. I'm sure a bunch of 50 years olds can release a thrash album you'll be satisfied with...

I'm looking forward to the new album as much as any new Metallica release and I'm sure they'll come up with something good just like they always do. ok

I'm a fan of St Anger, and I wouldnt mind hearing the outtakes from the SA sessions. The songs on the Metallica: Some kind of Monster movie that did not make the record would be an awesome release as a bonus disc on the new album. Are these songs available anywhere?

No, I don't think so.

There was talk about Metallica releasing the unreleased songs as "The Presidio Sessions" (called so because of where they were recorded), but nothing further has come of that.
