Just watched The Day That Never Comes Video
What the fuck was that shit?
HAHAHAHA
Worst Video I've ever seen in my life. They'd been better just doing a live video
How about some sort of Domestic Violence video or something?
that video was a waste of a great song.

This album is fantastic!
Really into it now and I love nearly everything about it, my only qualm is the lyrics but I've never expected lyrical greatness with my
Metallica
records anyway.
I don't know how people can be knocking the drumming either, I think
Lars
does an awesome job, there are so many tracks on here when I listen to them, they are the kind of tracks that make me think, "Yeah, I'd love to be a drummer". Not many songs get me thinking that, let alone nearly an entire album.
Kirks
work is tops to, I'm no fantastic guitar player and I don't know where he belongs on the greatest of all time list and I don't much care, all I know is his work on this is class.
Unforgiven III
and
My Apocalypse
are my fave tracks at the moment. I love the way Unforgiven III builds and you think they are going to hit a catchy chorus, then they pull it back, just at the last second and avoid decending into that (If you know what I mean). Anyways, loving this, and agreed, the video was pretty awful.

I loved the video at first. I liked the concept of just showing a day in the life of a soldier over there. But I'll admit that it's a bit cheesy. And when I watch it now, I find myself wishing there were more shots of just the band playing.

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

I love this album. It's like having an old friend that you haven't seen in years back. Depending on which song am listening to, it's my fave. I think I have to go with All Nightmare Long as tops.

'the day that never comes' - jesus, what an awful video - distracts from the song big time
as far as the song goes - its great while the vocals lay off - methinks its time to fire James!
Sounds like they bolted a Master of Puppets b side with a Load b-side - doesnt sound like they have any idea what sound they want to go for and have merged albums...

They need to call it a day and move on. No band needs to go on forever.

Because that film clip sucked? Wake up, Goose.
Yes the new video wasn't that great but atleast the music was good and thats all that really matters, Right?
Metallica are doing a great job, even if their videos aren't that good.

St. Anger gets a bad rap. All because of a damn snare drum being turned off. I still dig it though.

How long is their set usually? Similar to this? I realize their songs are extremely long, but only 10 songs?

I would expect to hear anywhere from 18-20 songs in a full set from them. I'd guess anywhere from 2 2 1/2 hrs or so.
