Just got the rest of the album and I am STILL impressed with it. All of my friends are loving it, we jammed it all night pretty much. Very receptive to it. Their touring dates fucking SUCK though.........closest show to us central Pennsylvanians is in Washington DC and that place pretty much sucks.

The dates really do suck. Hardly any shows in the south either. I hope there is more next year. I just can't see them skipping the whole south.

I really liked that one too. I thought the best one on the album was all nightmare long though.

For those with the new album, what's
The Unforgiven III
like? Was it needed? Or is it a mere rehash of the previous two?

Wow so many awesome songs, but as of right now, song #3 aka Broken, Beat & Scarred is my favorite........I love the line, "What don't kill you make you more strong." To me the weakest is Unforgiven III.....even though it's not treading along the same lines as II did....I still think it's the most Load/ReLoadish track on the album.
I liked Timothy25's review of the album and agree with it for the most part except for The Day That Never Comes. That song is able to take the sounds from Master of Puppets, The Black Album and Load and combine them for one fucking insane song. Ending with an insane jam session and super long guitar solos used to be the standard for Metallica before the Black Album put them in a more radio friendly style.
But in reality this makes up for St. Anger 100x over. This is the album that should have came out in 1996 and saved the Rock genre. God bless Rick Rubin.

D-
You are going to love this album. Just download it and it will only reinforce your decision to buy. They did not mess around with this album trying to be gimmicky like on St. Anger, this is a modern sounding vintage Metallica album and the overwhelming positivity of those who've heard it should speak volumes given how often the "Metallica is washed-up" obituary has been written.

Just DL it.
I am sticking it on the Ipod as we speak and Im about to go on my 5 mile run! Something tells me this will be the best run ever cause I will have some new awesome kick ass songs to hear.
I'm not gonna listen till I get running so everything will be a surprise.
Hopefully, I don't get hit by a car or anything concentrating on the music and not watching for cars!
