I love metallica... LOVE metallica... I didnt even really mind St Anger... some songs arent half bad.... IMO. This New song i htink is Gr8.. Gets back to the "older" sound. And before people start bashing Hetts voice.. lars drumming.. etc etc..... just shut up... seriously who wants to hear a band put out the same album over, and over and over... not me or most people. sometimes you just cant replicate a past sound, or emotion... whatever...

Personally i am pumped for this album.. the snippets ive been hearing on mission metallica and the new single... sounds promising... i think the next few months are going to be huge for not only Metallica, but the other bigger names of rock...and i think you know who might fit into that category

St.Anger was awful...but I kinda like the feel of this song

It's a solid song, I'm a little shocked that they chose to release a near 8 minute song as the lead single

It's certainly an improvement over the St. Anger debacle.  Not that it's a bad song but like so many bands that try to recreate their past years later it just sounds like a half-assed rehash of what they were doing 17 years ago.  It sounds like a throwaway from the Black sessions

Like the song at least after the first listen. Probably even more after a few more listens... Kind of reminds me of Load and Reload the first part, and then moving toward the older material in the end.

I like Metallica, not a fan of Lars' drumming. But it's his band. He can play how ever the fuck he wants. Just like with St. Anger. Hate the album, but it's their choice.

First four minutes sounds pretty decent, but what the fuck happens after that? I mean the arrangement is fucking ridiculous, just a bunch of riffs and hoohaa solos which have absolutely nothing to do with the song concept.
"hey, lets put all our leftover riffs into a lottery machine and see what comes up!".

Drums were a joke.

It sounds like And Justice For All meets Load.   I like it better than anything on St. Anger, but if this is the lead single, I don't see Metallica coming close to their glory days again.
