Anyone hear Metallica's version of "Remember Tomorrow" on the Maiden tribute album? It's really fucking good. They do covers as good as anyone. Plus Maiden rules!

Any great artist/thinker/mathematician/musician do their best thinking when they're young. Metallica need to give up the ghost.

James and Lars need to retire and raise their kids. Kirk can go on to do more voice work in Metalocalypse.

That other guy can go jump in a lake of lava.

Thank you for your insightful comments, maybe you should go jump in a lake of lave yourself, so you'll stop trolling threads about bands you don't even like.
I love Metallica - it's just that I don't drink the coolaid so many on this site drink.

You love Metallica? You sure have a strange way of saying it. Everything you post here is negative. Roll Eyes
I'm just a little bitter that my favorite bands don't release great music anymore.

Yeah I actually heard it on the radio the other day and it was pretty cool, but they've done better covers anyway ok

I am very interested to hear Unforgiven III.
I love the first one, thought the second was ok, so I wonder what the third will be like?

Based on that progression, it's looking to be subpar.

Lmao

It must be said

Unforgiven 3....I stopped reading at that point....

Prepare for Re-re-re-re loaded

I wonder how much radio friendly 'feul' rehases we are getting

Its been 17 years since Metallica's last good album

....surely only the Rolling Stones can beat that one?

I have to admit, the Iron Maiden cover is pretty good.   they've always done a great job covering other bands.    Its the only thing they've done really well in the last 15 years.   Hopefully Unforgiven III is going to blow my mind, lol.

Yeah first thing I thought too. Why no title track? You have a concept as brilliant as "Death Magnetic" and waste it? I haven't heard anything that brilliant since the whole patron saint of being cranky/irritable. It could go like this...

Feeling
like an F on a math test
pinned to the fridge
pinned with a magnet
When dad finds out-
it's death Magnetic
Funny  hihi

I heard some new song on YouTube (Cyanide I think) and it just sounded boring.  Metallica are irrelevant for the most part and if they can't continue to progress (even though the Load era was not great, I'd rather hear more of that) should just stop.  Making angry metal is impossible for them now.  The Unforgiven III is probably going to be a low-point in their career, I really can't see that working at all.

lol.  funny how EVERY song on that set list aside from this new one pre-dates 1991.   Really shows how the band's songs went to the shitter after TBA.   Don't get me wrong, its awesome these guys are still kicking ass live, I'd go see them.

i'll wait for the studio version before i cast judgement on cynaide.
