Omg... thank you for posting this... I remember I heard this like 4 years ago around the time the album came out. If i remember correctly the man who made this said that he achieved the drum sound by banging on a steel chair.

I knew Metallica for a long time but only recently have I started listening to some early stuff, but mainly Load and Re-load. I love these albums! The sound is amazing. It just confuses me how Metallica could go from being so great to where they are now. New Song #2 is sounding a bit like load/reload style except it sucks. I don't want to say they have crappy lyrics because I don't think thats the reason, but just how the song is arranged. Very little rythym and can't follow it unlike their older stuff. How is it possible that they are so much worse now? I've heard VH1 bash them many times saying something along the lines of "now that they're sober they suck". Maybe there is some truth to that or they just plain out of ideas. No diss to Metallica they are one of my favorite bands, if not my favorite, but I just want some good music today

I didn't become a fan of Metallica until the black album came out so I missed out on the glory years. I saw them in concert after they put out Load or Re-Load, but wasn't real familiar with their older stuff at that time. I'd love to see that show again, I'm sure I would appreciate it a lot more now. Anyway, Re-Load was enough for me, didn't bother with St. Anger or anything since then. Hardcore fans said they sold out with the black album, because of "Nothing Else Matters" and "The Unforgiven". I loved that album though. Re-Load, though, that was the last straw for me.

Metallica kicks ass man. I've never seen them live but i don't think i'd want to unless the majority of the show is there early material. At first i didn't like them because i didn't like Lars because i thought he was an asshole but i couldn't deny the fact that they kick ass anymore so now i'm a huge fan of there early work. Kill'em all is thrash Metal gold and Master of pupets is fuckin awesome. My favorite album of theres at the moment is ".....and justice for all" i love teh Raw-ness that it has. I can't get Blackened or One or even Eye of the Beholder out of my mind. Those three songs really stand out for me. Something i wonder frequently about "Eye of the beholder" is why did they name it that? i think a better name would be "Independance limited". Since that lyric really stands out the most in that song in my opinion.

when is this new record gonna be out? Im kind of excited after reading some of these posts. I saw them on what I believe was the Reload tour in Phoenix AZ. Awesome show, I was right in the front on the rail. Days of the New and Jerry Cantrell were the opening acts, both of which I love. Great show.
