It might be for interviews with the artists etc. things that people watching the shows might not actually see. Just my opinion, but i can't see them showing the concert online. I hope i'm wrong though!

If I remember correctly Pukkelpop had a streaming live cam back in 2002:

The 'Sick of it all' performance was shown completely this way, when GNR came on: nothing but total darkness!!

Adding to this:

The official press wasn't allowed to make pictures during the GN'R show at Pukkelpop in 2002;
Fans in the front row got their cameras taken from them by security, I know!!!
