I.R.S. Could easily be the opening song.
It's the only song out of the leaks that has any straight up mainstream potential.
Short, Catchy Melody, A perfect balance of heaviness and hardness... Good song.

Better and CITR both have main stream potential. Hell CITR is a cross over hit, that could even be played on a soft rock station

I love CITR but I disagree that it has main stream potential.? The reason I don't think it would be a hit is because of the lyrics.? I don't think that they are bad, in fact I love them.? I'm just thinking that an ordinary Joe who doesn't know the backstory or who has no clue about Mark Chapman will be like what the fuck is he talking about here?? I can't relate to this shit at all, and sadly I think that in todays musical landscape lyrics have to have universal appeal or else the kids just can't get into it.

I do think that Better has mainstream potential though because it has lyrics that are good but at the same time everyone can understand and relate to, which is a sad indictment of peoples taste in music today but I just don't think you can have a big hit unless you pander to the kiddies and make something that is easily digestible for them.

I have given BETTER to a ton of people, both friends offline and online, and most of them love the song and think its great. And these friends taste is music is varied.

i think better could be huge.. but it will need to be forced on the public at first.. its real catchy.. but after the first listen.. your like what the hell.. but after the fifth you can't get it out of your head.. plus the verse in the middle where axl's voice sounds like its from 1986 is just awsome... the weird guitar work ande electronic sounds in the middle has gotta go though.. back on topic.. where do you find this dl.. i searched to torrent search engine i usually use.. but got nothing.. they had the new pearl jam disc about three weeks before it was released..

The GNR leaks I DL and I fuckin regret it every single day that i did. If i could go back there is no way in hell I wouldve done so.

Don't beat yourself up about that dude... there's no guarantee these tracks will even make the album and they arn't even finished anyway. There's not much difference listening to those than hearing the other tracks live.

               I feel the same way a poster did on saying that if I didn't get to hear these new songs , I'd never hear Axl again. I do think of the songs on the album that there is a lotta possibilities for singles ect ect.


                 I just think  " The Blues " if its there can be a good single if its fine tuned in the studio.
