I have not one time believed a release date (I came in late to this, i started looking late 2001 for the cd) but i think we are finally getting it.

As I said in another thread, the fact that Axl noted that two CDs are almost finished, and one other is still being recorded, I'm not sure how much studio work will happen throughout the summer tour schedule...I just don't know when there will be time to finish work on the albums.  But I'm also taking Axl at his word, so fall it is.

i assume by almost done he means editing track lists and taking care of mastering / packaging / advertising plans.

as far as more studio time goes, they already have two albums in the can so there shouldnt be a need to hit the studio until atleast after the full blown us tour for chinese democracy.

wrap up disc three then, release 'untitled second album', tour that, then jam on songs for a fourth album while your in the process of releasing 'untitled third album'  (i guess technically i shouldve called them 'seventh' and 'eighth'). i dont beleive they will all have something to do with chinese democracy, im pretty sure everything is meant to be its own album.

I believe the actual recording is done. Not sure about the whole issue of the name Guns N' Roses because I think its that that has been keeping it from its pending release date for the last years.

I thought it would definitely be out by June at the latest. Oh well...I hope it actually will come out at some point, whether it be June or Autumn.

I'd believe it more if it was a closer date, if he said mid summer I'd believe him more. Just because that's when the band is touring and it makes more sense I think, I don't know much abotu putting out a record or anything but that's how I feel.

I think it's a mistake to release it in the fall because here we are with another tour without an album. ?Iwould guess that people listen to more music in the summer because of all the related activities, so he's blowing it. ?I hope for the people going to the shows this summer that the band will actually play some new stuff. ?If it's all Appetite and UYI material then we are in trouble.

i know i heard axl say that they are still deciding what songs will go on what cd. hopefully he decides quickly. i'm now starting to think it'll be about a year before we see it. god, i hope i'm wrong.

Wasn't CD just removed from Amazon.com in December or something?  I know it was on there a little while ago, but they have since removed it.
