If they took calls it would just be

-Is Slash in the band?
-Is Duff in the band?
-When is "Chinese Demoracy" gonna be released?
-Who's the new guitarist?

What the hell was up with the statement below [in bold]?? After one of the rehearsal clips the following happened:

(rehearsal playing via Axl Rose's cell phone)

Studio:? "Yeeeaaah!",? "Are you alive Axl?"

Eddie Trunk:? "Axl, sounds like a jet plane landing man."

Axl Rose:? "Alright..." (cell phone breakup)

Eddie Trunk:? "It's heavy duty man."

Axl Rose:? (cell phone breakup) "...cellphone.? Ah, there was a word!"

Eddie Trunk:? "What happened?"

Axl Rose:? "Nothing, nothing."

Axl said something like "fucking cellphone", then paused and said "ah, there was a word" (meaning he just realized he said fuck on the air). Eddie didn't seem to catch it.

It would have been cool for any of us to talk to Axl directly, but me, I've got nothing to complain about.  All the big questions were answered throughout the interview, we got a ton of great stories, in spite of the fact that Axl (very tactfully) dodged taking any fan questions and calls.  Very, very well done.

Can you imagine hitting the town with Axl, 'Baz' and Mike Monroe? That would be one helluva party!

i think it's so fucking cool that bas and axl are friends again. two of my favorite rock stars, trouble makers times two back in the day. just like old times. despite his crazyness and larger than life personality, bas seems like at the core he is a genuinely nice person and he obviously really really respects axl. it was his interview, but at the mention of axl, he just scapped the thing and it was The Axl Rose show. Two amazing talents.
and this was the most kickass interview fuckin' ever!! And I do find the timing interesting, and I am genuinely hopeful for the future. axl seems as good as ever. And I am fucking excited!

If Roth really did say that he is a total dick. The irony is he must have said that right when his star was falling (with Skyscraper) and Bach and Axl's was rising.

On a side note, who'd like to see Bach open up for GN'R? It'd be great to have a new band (Like BFMV) as well as an old-schooler.

I never wanted you to be so full of anger. . . .

« Reply #857 on: May 06, 2006, 03:50:45 PM »

As much as I think it would be cool to have Skid Row or a S.B. lead group open for GNR, I think it would be looked at as an 80's hair band tour - rather than new Guns N Roses.  When GNR tour, they are not looked at as strictly an 80 hair band.

Hey what about the part where he supposedly talks about Tony Soprano? Or the Vince Neil Vs Axl part? Was that all lies?
