You had to love how laid back Axl seemed throughout the whole thing. When shit like this happens it makes you realise why you are a Guns fan in the first place, that sense of unpredicatblity!  Grin

Haha, how fucking funny was that Elton story though?

"I AM A GAY MAN" , "Cool so when we get to the bridge.............."   rofl hihi

Fuckin classic! Axl is back and in a big fucking way!  ok

What excites me is they said they were working on a new song at practice..I don't know why but I think they might play it friday as an instrumental jam or somthing it would be cool if Izzy come on stage for 14 years or dust n bones or maybe even double talkin jive. It is also cool to see Axl hanging out with people again like bach maybe that will help wash away the whole "this isn't GN'R or Axl is an asshole" I want to know who the new player is! For anyone who heard it. Did he sound good?

What the hell was up with the statement below [in bold]?  After one of the rehearsal clips the following happened:

(rehearsal playing via Axl Rose's cell phone)

Studio:  "Yeeeaaah!",  "Are you alive Axl?"

Eddie Trunk:  "Axl, sounds like a jet plane landing man."

Axl Rose:  "Alright..." (cell phone breakup)

Eddie Trunk:  "It's heavy duty man."

Axl Rose:  (cell phone breakup) "...cellphone.  Ah, there was a word!"

Eddie Trunk:  "What happened?"

Axl Rose:  "Nothing, nothing."

What the hell was up with the statement below [in bold]?? After one of the rehearsal clips the following happened:

(rehearsal playing via Axl Rose's cell phone)

Eddie Trunk:? "It's heavy duty man."

Axl Rose:? (cell phone breakup) "...cellphone.? Ah, there was a word!"

Eddie Trunk:? "What happened?"

Axl Rose:? "Nothing, nothing."

My impression is that at that point, one of the band members sang something in the rehearsal. It seemed like it might have part of the chorus or something, the way Axl said "Ah, there was a word". We couldn't hear it though.

Amazing interview.

Very impressed with Axl. He sounded so casual, so relaxed...just like any of us do when we get together with old friends and we share stories from the past. For me Axl's always been like this guy who's larger than life, but this interview sure's changed my perspective. He's so normal. One hour has change my whole views about him.

I guess all the comments we've heard about people sayin Axl's gotta a great sense of humor were true.

It's amazing how he remembers everything as well. Great memory (no pun intended Slash, but some former members could use some of that? Tongue ).

This interview, such a classic rock n' roll type interview, is going to generate tremendous publicity for the band!! ?Just the way this thing went down, is cool!! ?It's an extremely candid interview as well! ?It's all over the web--kind of like the leaks, using the internet to spread interactive media like wildfire!!! ?What a way to just add to the curiosity with the upcoming shows!!! ?

I thought the whole thing about how UYI I & II were going back and forth between Slash and Izzy was interesting. How he had to moderate with them on who's songs were going to be on the CD's and whatnot. Interesting

Would love to hear Slash's side of that story Cool

I thought that was interesting as well. It also wasn't a one sided story with Axl being this saint or something as Axl not only said he wouldn't do Slash's song if Slash didn't do Izzy's and vice versa, but also that he wouldn't do either if they didn't do his.
