You guys honestly thought there would be album by the time Rio and the Euro dates came around?!
Can't believe people are disappointed! Just shut up for gods sake!
Everyones fears that bandmates like Tommy and Brain have gone, have been put to bed.. we heard the band fucking rehearsing Nightrain.. people were worried Axl wasnt rehearsing with the band etc.. YET PEOPLE STILL FUCKING COMPLAIN!

that sucks.
I think us europeans deserve more than a "warm-up" tour......
meh....as long as they turn up to Download Festival I'll be happy!
3 months touring in Europe is hardly a warmup...afterall, he's starting out with 4 shows in one of the fifty United States at a venue that sits 2,500.
But now Axl says "fall" release. When he spoke to the RIR guys he said summer and now it's fall? Please, just let this be the year. If it's not released in the fall, he's gotta throw in the towel. But this sounds like it's gonna be it.

I can see how you would feel that way. Axl did say "It'll be released this year" at the end of that discussion though. He sounded pretty sure and sincere to me.

It'll be leaked at least a month before its official date anyway.
I hope that does not ahppen at all.
I was hoping it would could out some time late june or july. But now I some time from late september to November is ok. I mean I waited this long. That would be just in time for another US tour.

this is great, first time axl himself has commented on a release date. Mostly everyone is so dissapointed because 3rd party sources make up release dates.
I guess this means that the release will coincide with a north american tour of some sort.

This is great news, and defninitely a reason to feel optimisitc about this year. ?Still, "fall" isn't what I'd really consider a release date. ?If a month, day, and year are confirmed, then that's a whole nother story...

Stop your complaining. In 91 Axl did an entire US leg (Get In The Ring Tour) without an album as the warm up. Then Europe got the album

that means we should hear a single about two months prior to an album release, anywhere from july to september.

You're right Gunner - they did a LOT of tour dates back in '91 without an album.
Axl never said spring. That was fan speculation. The only thing that he said before is that we would "hear music this year," which apparently we will - in the fall.

I think the fall makes sense, it sucks right now for us faithful fans because we ve waited so long but the tour in Europe for like 20 shows, rock the shit out of them, build up some momentum, drop CD in the fall, then rock the hell out of the NA tour. The time line makes sense. He said before the 2002 that soon isnt the word before the NA tour, now he's saying fall before the NA tour. but if nothing gets released this year, and we start hearing early 07, then its time to forget CD. But even Richard said in an email the Fall would be the time to release CD, so atleast theyre on the same page.

The only thing that worries me about a release date in fall is he made it sound as if they were still in the final stages of tweaking the album, but they go on tour next week.....

good point. when will they have time to finish?
he actually says "late fall". fall ends around december 20.

I kinda thought the same thing. when will they finish it..... after all the euro dates? i kinda think CD is done and maybe they want to add a song or 2 if they can get it done on time.

I certainly hope all he is doing is picking tracklistings. I don't know, from what everyone says this is the first time it's come from axl's mouth as far as a release date, so hopefully he knows what he is doing. I don't want to doubt him.
