We learnt that Eddie Trunk is a total tool.
How come? Did I miss something?
Yeah, seriously...Eddie Trunk is the man. If it wasn't for his show we wouldn't have had that awesome experience Friday night.

Pilferk, I was kind of suprised by that as well. Trunk and Piazza sounded like they were about to shit their pants. Axl did have a good vibe about him and sounds like he is pretty happy. These shows will be great.

Actually, you should be thanking Seb Bach for that, not Eddie.
Eddie got lucky and should be thanking God that Axl was in a good mood, otherwise the events of 2003 may not have been brushed aside so easily.

Very true...Baz made it happen, and Eddie is pretty lucky that Axl was forgiving about what happened. But that being said, if Eddie didn't have Baz on it still wouldn't have happened. Eddie's a good dude though, and he's a genuine person and fan of music. His show is great every week, and I didn't appreciate him being referred to as a tool. He's a helluva radio show host and a good guy too.

I think Axl realizes they werent intentionally tryin to harm him, they just got excited and felt the world Needed to hear the song.
I still wonder how Piazza got a hold of that in the first place?

All radio people are tools. It's a scientific fact. My heart stopped when Shannon Hoon was brought up, was hoping they would elaborate a little more on him, but at least he was mentioned. Shannon Hoon is & always will be my favorite.

And Eddie is very grateful to Bach for that too, as he describes in his blog. ? As far as Axl being kind to him, he seems overly grateful for that, as well he should. ?Axl was more than generous in regards to the leaks and the debacle of 2003.
You know, for the past week I've been saying to myself "I can't believe I'm actually going on the 12th...the flight, taking off work, the hotel. ?Can I really afford to do that?" ?That interview was so cool, and it was so good to hear Axl again, and - even better - hear him as a "regular guy" rather than this isolated, tempermental, megalomanical genius that everybody writes about - that my question is now "how I can I afford to *not* go?" ?Hope to meet some of you on the 12th.
So another thing I learned - eccentricities aside, Axl sounds like a grounded, level-headed, fun guy who's ready to get back in the ring on his own terms.

Axl mailed it to him?
Dont know if this has been mentioned but it sounds to me, that the finished versions have a shot at not sounding like the demos we heard.
that worries me cause we have gotten so use to them its gonna be weird hearing them completely different.

You're so right. I'm now very attached to the version of "Better" I've been hearning. Anything drastically different won't sound "right" to me. Explains why Axl might not be happy about the leaks, yes?

Thats exactly right.
For instance The Blues at RIR3.
To me this version is perfect whereas the 2002 versions bore the living hell out of me.
I cant imagine Better without Buckets parts, cause his parts kick fuckin ass.

That's one of the reasons why I've only listened to the leaked tracks only a few times. I don't want to get too attached and then be dissapointed if I don't like the actual album versions as much.

That's the complete opposite to me, imo the 2002 versions of The Blues are better.
