A guy related to aiken promotions owner here ireland says thats details have been received as regards stage set-up, stage hands, gear, times of arrival etc

Strange as it may seem he say its appears that "Dizzy's guitar tech" is listed as a member of the group working the stage.

So has Dizzy have replaced buckethead...not playing his parts but by taking on the rhythem guitar in songs that require it live and then back to piano on others.  This frees up space for richard fortus to take on many of the buckethead parts (with his own slant live).

So when the band walk out on stage next Friday it will be same but no buckethead.

Before someone beats me to it, let me just suggest that it actually lists "Izzy's guitar tech" rather than "Dizzy's guitar tech." ?Nothing like fanning the flames of rumor to get you going in the morning...

Wouldn't it be weird to see Dizzy playing the guitar in a Gn'R concert?  hihi

But he does play it quite well.

But he does play it quite well.

And there's no reason to think he won't strap a guitar on for a song or two. ?Big difference between him playing a guitar and actually filling in a guitarist slot on a permanent basis...we'll see soon enough.

I know there's no reason to think so. I just said that it would be kinda odd. But still, if he does play the guitar, even if it's just on a song or two, I'm looking forward to seeing it.  beer

Dizzy has always played guitar, he plays it in his side band right now while swopping between guitar and keyboards.

Dizzy mgith play guitar on one song live, or it might just be to jam on backstage, but please don't say some of you here actually think Dizzy will be the new 3rd guitarist ?Roll Eyes ok

And I also realize you weren't implying that. ?Just pointing out that - even if the guitar tech thing is legit, it's not really enough reason for others to start assuming/jumping to conclusions that that Dizzy's now one of the band's guitarists. ?At least then we could have a few new "Who's the new keyboardist?!?!?" threads popping up every hour or so... ? Yeah, I saw Weezer last fall and Rivers Cuomo hopped on drums for a song. Played the kit pretty well. Then Foo Fighters played and their drummer switched and played guitar and sang a song of his... While Dave Grohl went back and played drums!!  Who knew Dave Grohl could play the drums??!!! (Kidding of course)

Anyway, I think he'll just strap on for a few songs here & there. Stuff without piano & keyboards.

Makes sense. Do you really need Pittman and Dizzy on keyboards for every song?

Don't be rediculous he wouldn't have a guitar tech for one song! It's just a mistake. People read too much into everything. Mistakes do happen even in GnR world. It's probably just his keyboard tech. The guy making the list probably just made a mistake.

The first thing that hit me was that it could be Izzy, who knows?

By the way can you try to get details of the Metallica concert in the RDS coz I wanna know if Duff is playing with Alice In Chains for that gig.

Of course. I was just speculating. Nothing is impossible when you have a talented musician like Dizzy that can play keys, guitar and sing  Smiley

4 guitars? Shocked

BTW, Dizzy could play accoustic in some song, like the begining of IRS. Wink
