Tommy and Paul Westerberg will both be appearing on Jim Rome's nationally syndicated radio show "The Jungle" Thursday, May 4.

Jim said they'd be debuting the new Replacement's single and discussing other things as well.

I don't think doing a phoner to promote a single by his original band is anything to be concerned about.

And if the band is indeed rehearsing in LA, it makes sense that he could easily take 1/2 day off to do the promo work with Paul.

And for what it's worth, I confirmed this weekend that Tommy will indeed be playing with GnR on tour. Not that we didn't already assume this was true.

So none of you would tink it weird if Whaxl just cut a single with Slash & starts doing some promo work for it a week before fakeGNR starts touring? Tommy has stated before if the money was there, he'd be down for a 'Mats reunion, ala The Pixies.

I do not think that Tommy or management would go to all the trouble of helping make a Mats  hits CD and doing a single without a little Advertising or PR'ing of some sort. I think he did Rome cause they are friends, it would be a easy place to throw a plug out before he left to go to N.Y. I do not see it as any deal. I am a huge fan of Guns and I think all is well. I just believe from helping make that new song on CD that Tommy probably wants to finish out his think by telling others about his song and honoring his prior commitments. We will def. hear about GN'R also so that will be cool. Even if its only to hear about the dates we already know. Tommy is a very interesting person. I have always enjoyed his body of work so he will have great Mats info and I bet a tad bit of Guns too. If someone that day could possibly put the transcripts up or the highlights that would be appreciated thanxs.
