Axl and Izzy???

Axl is usually spelled Axel or Axle... Axl is Axl because HE didn't know how to spell it...

And not everyone who knows who Axl Rose is, is a Gn'R fan... And people who just like the music don't necessarily know everything about every band member...

Okay, here is my 2 cents on the situtation:

Since this chick can't even spell Axl Rose correctly, (she spells it Axel)

I bet WHO she thought was IZZY was really RICHARD FORTUS.

The two look similar and Axl even has said in statements that Richard is like Izzy.

She sang Happy Birthday to him....... last time i checked you needed a name to do that properly.  Izzy is quite a unique guys name, i dont think she would have forgotten it!

I question when anyone says they met Axl and spell it Axel.  Who doesn't know who Axl Rose is and people know how to spell his name.

She isnt into Rock Music, she likes Jazz and i know plenty of people who a) dont know who he is, b) dont know how to spell his name the way he spells it!

cool! it brought a glad smile to my face ?. i was wondering, of all the interviews i've read through this years, i haven't read much coming from Izzy, maybe you can clear me up. how has Izzy been with axl during all this years? i mean, has he badmouthed axl like some of the ex?i know he refused to show in the vh1 behind the music but. i don't know if it says something. has Izzy been loyal to axl in some ways? ( not talking shit abouth axl in the press..etc). do you think if someone makes a movie about axl or a true behind the music or book ?..etc. would Izzy be the only one who could say he knows axl inside?i mean, his soul? why axl acted the way he did .blah blah...etc?. I imagine those guys hanging out and hugging too.. saying , oh man I miss you! you know....feeling the love ....( i'm sensitive today i picture everyone hugging ,showing and feeling the love ... )

It's interesting that Izzy spent his birthday with Axl!!!  Those two formed GNR, and it seems that of all the members they have been the closest~

And eating with Merck. That's the odd part. Unless there was business to discuss, i can't imagine why he'd be there. Maybe he will do a few apperances, or maybe they will write together again.

-Can someone please explain this to me:  I keep hearing "(Insert former band member here) would be rehearsing with the band."  Yet Axl has been in NYC for ages now, even though they're "supposedly" rehearsing in California.  So Axl isn't rehearsing with them, I presume?

The only reason why, as much as a reunion show/tour would be so cool, I don't believe in the reunion rumors is: whats to stop Robin or Tommy or Brain or whoever from saying "i'm not with the band anymore, axl is with the old gunners".  Unless they signed some crazy confidentiality agreement, but why would they sign that?  Unless its just a temp thing and they want to make it a huge surprise.

I'm not going sunday night, so help me god, if anything cool happens at that show but not at the others, I think I will fucking kill myself

Just speculating here.... but I think Izzy might of had some "behind the scenes" input on Chinese Democracy... I also think he might have been the one that told Slash it was actually "pretty good" or whatever Slash said... doesn't mean there's a reunion coming OR that Izzy is back though.

Most of all... very cool that they seem to be friends again. Repairing some of these friendships is a real healthy thing for Axl I think.... he seemed VERY lost in a "everyone wants to sabotage me and ruin my life..." trip back in the late 90's and early 00's.

I don't think that Izzy would be in the band, but maybe there is a chance that he will be playing on some songs in some gigs But I can't think about Izzy playing some of the new songs.. though that would still be awesome. But I'm just glad that Axl and Izzy are talkin' to each other, 'cause they have/had something special that shouldn't be wasted

Maybe this rekindled friendship is what's given Axl the confidence to finally finish up the record. I honestly don't expect Izzy to join the band (though it'd be mighty awesome). It definitely wouldn't shock me to see him at least in attendance at one or more of these NYC shows...
