Bullet for My Valentine isn't rock, they're emo/hardcore bullshit. This is such a bad choice for an opener. Like I said before, they won't last 3 songs in...and whomever else said the Guns and Roses chant will start...right on brother.

As for times? Doors at 7:30, I say Bullet will play (if they last) from 9-9:30, and you'll see Axl take the stage at 10-10:30.

I never heard of a curfew in NYC...Prodigy played the Nokia until 12:30am when I went to see them

From reading what I can find on the subject (which is all anecdotal...from a Prince concert report, Bob Dylan Concert report, and a couple others), I'd say it sounds like the "curfew", if there is one, is 12:30 (including encores).  That seems to be the general "pull the plug" time that's mentioned.

Regarding Bullet for my Valentine, I actually think they are OK!!  Some of you, it seems, are never pleased.  I definitely think that young metal bands need to be given a chance!  The guy's are writing, and playing their own songs--as opposed to most of the current bands who cannot write or perform!  Let's give bands, who are trying something new, a chance!  Give them a few more listens--I think they are alright!!

You're on a GNR board. Roll Eyes? Of course alot of people on this board aren't going to like an Emo band.? It is a vastly differnet sound.? I have a huge passion for music from the blues to some European Metal and Goth, but I don't like Emo like others here.? And I think we are in the majority.

i'd say that at least its decent music to mosh to... but how many of us will actually mosh even if we usually like to? (i usually love to mosh).. im pretty sure we'd wanna save our energy for singing with and screaming our heads off at gnr  hihi

how bout when bullet's about to go on, all us board members all at once scream HEY FUCKERS, SUCK ON GUNS N FUCKIN ROSES!! and keep chanting guns n roses til they get disheartened enough to go backstage and cut themselves?  rofl

They're not too bad.?

They've got a mix of screaming and actual singing.? Their songs are somewhat catchy, and they're nice background music while getting settled in, etc.

Would I buy tickets to see 'em? Fuck no.? But it could be worse...hell, it was back in '02.

my thoughts exactly, except for the screaming. ?It'll be just 30 minutes of music people, don't let it ruin your whole night. ?

Are there better picks out there? ?Yes (Buckcherry, Silvertide, A7), Are there worst picks out there? ?Yes (MMM, and heaven forbid Hoobastank). ?

I would think so. Most small venues around here do.

They do.

There's wet bars on the floor, and, apparently, on each of the mezzs (it used to be you had to truck down to the floor to get drinks...no more). ?In addition, I've been told there are actually waitresses, now, in the balconies, for some (most?) shows serving drinks...not sure how common THAT is.

Not sure exactly what they serve. ?I'm a beer guy, myself, with an occasional Jack and Coke bent, and I can tell you that, from my memory, both were available, if a bit pricey (and no, I don't remember, exactly what the prices were).

Beer and all your favorite hard booze will be in the house. But you only need a Mr. Jack Daniels.
