has anyone noticed that if you check their official website that the NYC shows are NOT listed on their tour page. And also that they have other dates set for that weekend in other cities, not even in New York State even until Buffalo in the middle of the week

http://www.bulletformyvalentine1.com/website/html/tours.php

so is it known actually that BFV will be opening for GNR for all the GNR shows, if at all?

Both ticketmaster and livenation have it listed. I'm sure they're opening.

I dont know anything about these guys, but I sure as hell feel sorry for them. If they dont impress by the second night, the word will be out on the web, and the crowds at the last two shows will probably run them off the stage. I like hearing new music, so I hope they at least put on a good showing for themelves.

They'll probably be run off the stage on the first night.  Noone is interested in seeing them and I doubt more than a select few will attempt to take them seriously.

Bullet should pack it up today, Sunday, and not even bother showing on Friday. They suck, I gave them a chance when they opened for Rob Zombie, and they're totally unimpressive. new GNR fans like myself won't stand for them, and old school GNR fans certainly will have no tolerance for these emo fruits

I'll give them a chance. After all no matter how bad they might suck, they are better than what I could do. If they dont cut it though I'll spend the rest of their set checking out the cast of characters in the crowd.

Agreed!  I don't want to waste my eardrums on them.  I'll stuff my ears with cotton until GNR takes the stage.

BFMV is annoying...AFI has a new album coming out, Axl should have got them, they rock. Or he could fly over Pete Doherty and Babyshambles and make it the most dangerous show ever.

There are a ton of bands worthy of opening for GNR... so we're stuck with one that's subpar

Yeah, it's one of the few things we have going for us!  I would have liked Silvertide, but then again, most GNR fans want no opener at all.

Silvertide opened for VR when I saw them but I missed Silvertide cause I was at the VR meet and greet. I heard they're great live though.

I saw them with Van Halen before they released the first album Show&Tell - They were awesome, but I wasn't interested in them at the time because I just wanted to see Van Halen.  Since then, I've really grown to love them.  They've been compared to GNR on several levels, moreso from the Appetite era, but I think they can definitely hold their own and will make a good mark in the future if they can penetrate through all of the overproduced shit music of today's "rock n roll" spectrum.
