I'm going from Ft Lauderdale to JFK. Mostly because I can hop on the train right at the airport right into Penn Station which is right at my hotel

We're flying into LaGuardia.  We got round-trip tickets (flying Northwest Airlines) for under $180 each. 

JFK has the airtrain into the city, but LaGuardia you can take a taxi or the M60 bus to the 125th Street Subway Station.

Newark, NJ    A 6 night stay at a hotel in NYC would've really killed me financially so I'll be staying at a hotel in Newark and save myself a few hundred $. I'll be taking the train into Penn station. I think that's the right station, I'd better double check before leaving next week.lol
