I think the first disc will be some of the 'left out" hits such as "Estranged" for example.  The 2nd disc will be a compilation of all the songs "leaked" to the internet that people have thought have been real leaked Chin Democracy tracks.  I mean who wouldn't want a full length version of "My Favorite Pillow?"   Tongue

Puh! Long thread here so sorry if this have been mentioned before. But I think it will be acceptable with a Best of if it contains some contributions from the new band. Would be cool with one or two re-makes, maybe Sweet Child and You Could Be Mine and then studioversions af Madagasqar, Chinese democracy and The Blues these news songs are not considered as singles anyway have already been heard live and would make a nice intro for more casual fans who buys the best of to get Paradise City. No new band material included would be absoulute shite. The fans got all official releases already wich made Guns rich and we also have the alternative takes/songs they were not interested in relasing and making money of a long time ago

That would make my year. If they did release that show as a bonus disk then alot more people would end up buying the best of just for that show.

I personally don't think so, unfortunately. Sad For starters, I don't think there were even vocals on those demos/ tracks. If I remember correctly, Zakk Wylde said Axl was just too busy with legal things going on at the time to think of something else and sit down to write down some lyrics. Those would be from, say, late '93 up to late '95 (minus the Snakepit thing). Izzy apparently came back in '96 to write some stuff with Axl ("Down By The Sea" if I'm correct...?), I would love to hear what it sounds like. I don't think we will ever hear any of these tracks though... Sad

Yeah I think you're right about being too busy for vocals then.? That stretch of early 1995 was also when Axl was sitting in court and the Oklahoma City bombing happened on April 19th.? I'm curious if Izzy heard Axl's version of "Oklahoma" then, or if Axl just penned it that day and put it into music years later.?

lol, were Izzy & Axl making an ode to Ringo Starr? "I'd like to be under the sea, in an octopus' garden in the shade"   Grin

I dont think they could put Cornchucker on there anyhow.  I'd be happy with Crash Diet, Aint Goin Down, and these mysterious songs from '96 when Izzy came back.

I think it signals big things ahead.

That's kind of what Johan said.  Because somehow another compilation is considered promotion for new Guns material.

just an idea to ponder on if Axl is involved in the track list of the CD do you not think it would be cool if he did a little write up on why he chose the song what he remembers about when they wrote the song some cool things we didnt know about shit like that and if he kept it in a way where he did not bitch about the others but had fond memorys i think a lot more fans would buy it if they knew he had that sort of involvement in it. And if the put the rare stuff on maybe a reason why they didnt deam it album worthy  smoking
