Interesting that there has been a lot of hopeful talk here about GH being CD. And now GH is going to be a 2-CD, which we always thought CD could be
Just being hopeful!

While I would love the new best-of to really be a cover for CD, is their any thing pointing to suggest that?

greatest hits are all about capitalising on boom periods
why release it on the 20th? thats too late to really benefit from the Xmas rush
also, why no opposition from Merck/Axl?
the more I think of it the more Im leaning to it being a possibility

Nytunz is this "Ted Dibiase" a one post wonder of mygnr? I'm not familiar with wrestling?
Yeah an announcement now would be nice.
Regardless of the GH2 buisiness, I go for the magic number '8'. Viva CD in 2006!
I want to say that Ted Dibiase posted awhile back on MyGNR containing info on the IRS leak. I could be wrong, I don't frequent that site often.

"Ted Dibiase" will make an announcement on November 30 that is sure to excite all of you GNR fans..
He will reveal to you something you have been waiting to hear for sometime now.
We are currently working out the logistics for a live webcast of this announcement.
See you on November 30... the wait is over
Just a bit funny?
WTF does Ted DiBiase have to do with GN'R!?

Ted Dibiase was a part of Money Inc., which included the
IRS
(Michael Rotundo), and was a former WWF Tag Team champion with him.

Pilferk, what WAS the UYI cover title? I actually forgot. Guess its the whole getitng older thing. (Which sucks, by the way.)
-darknemus
i think it was "gnr sucks" (not trying to be funny) i heard that from one of the members of
www.gnrsucks.com
or i was probly high.
UYI's codename was GNR Sucks. 99% sure.
And.. on the GH thing.. I've giving up.. im just going with the flow. Me complaining about it wont stop it.. and me hoping its Chinese Democracy wont make it so...

Let me make a bold predicition....
The GH2 is NOT Cinese Democracy.
You are all deranged people. Look at the release date. Who releases a huge album on 12/20? No one in their right mind. I could see 11/20...but not 12/20.
It is GH2 which is a joke in itself.

Well, I went ahead and asked my friend to poll his Geffen contacts and see what, if anything, he could find out. The exact word from the two people that got back to him? "No Comment"
I know its not much - but just thought I'd share. Welcome to the wonderful world of being a GNR fan, also known as "clusterfuck to the power of infinity"

Other codenames for UYI were "Girth" and "Buy It" (or "Buy Product"?).
I don't think GH2 is a cover up for CD.

I don't know if the guys at Universal or geffen (or whatever) know what they are doing. A 2 CD box set will not sell.

I respectfully disagree. If GH 1 sold 2.5 million in the U.S. alone, GH2 will sell at least 1 million in the next year. Of course, it's all just speculation on my part.
