If they (the record company) really just wanted to rake in more cash they could release a live dvd or 2 live dvd's (including the Ritz 88), that would make more sense than a Greatest Hits 2. Besides, i always got the impression that Greatest Hits 1 was aimed at people who liked GN'R, but not enough to go out and buy all the albums (hence the reason i don't own Greatest Hits 1).

Another thing, i though A. wanted to block the Greatest Hits 1 from release (as maybe he is trying to leave behide the old GN'R in favour of the new). Maybe it's the likes of Slash and Duff who are pushing for a GH2 just piss off A.

Who knows. I sure don't

This isnt going to be a Greatest Hits II, you cant put a Guns n Roses CD out and expect it to sell without including the majority of the songs that were on the first package. No record company puts a CD out these days unless they know its going to sell! Guns are on Geffen, who are owned by Interscope, who are owned by Universal, who through UMG own a lot of other record labels. Unless Axl wants out of Universal, which would be a huge mistake, he would have to go over to Sony or one of the other Big 3 record labels. I dont think he would go over to Sanctuary given their current financial problems, and the large amounts of artists who are deserting the label part of the company.

A Greatest Hits II doesnt make any sense whatsoever. The UYI albums were covered up, the VMA performance was covered up, now CD is being covered up!

Just to clarify...UMG is it's own seperate entity now.  When the NBC/Universal deal went through, Universal Music was spun off into it's own seperate entity.
