Yes, I believe it was Brian May who said something to that extent.

For those wondering if maybe this album while compile more Illusion material, wasnt there a "Best Of Use Your Illusion" several years back? I really hope this album doesnt see the light, the first tracklist was shitty and theres no need to follow it up with another shit tracklist. If Geffen is trying to recoup the money invested in CD, release a fucking live show in 5.1 or something, dont subject us fans to pure money grab that is a GH comilation.

If this does indeed turn out to be true and Sanctuary or anyone else for that matter puts out another GH it will not tide over fans. I, speaking as a very big fan of GnR can say that I would not be happy with another GH (note: I never bought the original in the first place), and knowing many other casual GnR fans know that they would not be happy with another GH either. All I get from these people when GnR is brought up is 'when the fuck is Axl releasing CD?' and 'why is he taking so fuckin long?' If this is brought out it will only end in disaster.

If this is true, I could imagine 14 of Axl's favorite songs with New GNR Band, come March he drops Chinese Demorarcy that would give the band more music to play during there 2006 tour. I'm almost positive " this is the way he wants it".  So the Lawsuit is whats in the way, once the case is over the rights to cover the copies will be legitimate.  yes I would support the idea!

Think about it:        Axl's GH       DEC.  05
                               Single          Feb.  06
                               Chin Demo.  Mar.  06
                               Summer Tour  the return of AXL  ok

maybe it will be the "greatest hits" of the 3 albums worth of new material the band has?

and the album title is axl's way to slap the record company in the face for releasing the original GH's.  hehe

Well there seems to be a lot going on in early 2006 with the Release of an Unoffical DVD. A new book On Axl, And Not forgetting the Court Case Being put back to March (According To Sp1at Anyways)
Hopfully the Name Greatest Hits Volume 2 Is a cover up for somthing Much MUCH bigger Smiley
