Greatest Hits 2

December 6, 2005

February 6th? Axl Bithday?

Close, but no cigar.

Try again.

H?h! June 6th! No, there is NO hidden message

No, there is one, but it's not hidden very good.

Dec. 6, 2002

Who cares? Who knows? Who would get it?

It's a wind-up or a cover-up. Too much conincidence.

There won't be a GH Vol. 2 this year.

We will have nothing or the album we are waiting for, but no GH.

No fact, just my $0.02

I wonder if we're getting these re-releases of previously released material because Geffen can't release anything new without the band's approval?

There must be a lot of material they could release instead of "Greatest Hits" packages, but we haven't seen anything like that since "Live Era" (which the band members actually worked on).

A live compilation DVD, "rarities" collection, a proper tribute album (it could be done, not all tribute albums are horrible) etc.

Yes, that would be ok. Unplugged or something like that. That is possible. Or maybe a whole show..

I don't think we'll need to.

I'd rather hear something from Sanctuary.

If they could properly remaster, the Live at the Ritz '88 event that was on MTV into a cool DVD that would rule. I have to disagree witht he tribute albums though, I don't like them. I would rather have a poor excuse for the real thing.

I like these ideas except for a tribute album. I'd rather see something GN'R. New. Old. Rare. I couldn't get excited about a tribute album. The Appetite re-recording would be nice. A dvd would be real cool!

I would not support something the Artist is agains, and the Music industri is just releasing for the money.
Maybe if there were some rare songes, never heard before.

We can discuss this till the end of serverspace, but the thing is, that this is slatet as a GH album, and thats what it will be in until anything else are confirmed.
I really hope that this is a cover up, but no one knows until its written til last pencil

Conny you're gonna have to break this one down for me. Huh

He managed to say it all perfectly in one sentence (although the former is the most likely):

We will have nothing or the album we are waiting for, but no GH.

TheGauntlet.com is reporting Geffen Records has officially announced that the latest from Guns N'  Roses will finally hit the stores March 6th. Don't break a hip, Martha. It's not the long and possibly lost Axl Rose opus, Chinese Democracy. No, it's Volume 2 of the band's Greatest Hits.

With the first installment, released last year against the wishes of Axl Rose, and doing well on the charts, a Volume 2 is just good business for a label that has waited and waited for Axl to deliver the goods on some new music.

The track list of the new album will be announced in the near future.

It is important to note that when word leaked out about Vol.1 releasing, Geffen Records moved to get websites to remove the story. KNAC.COM has yet to be contacted, however our contact at TheGauntlet says he's already feeling the heat. The latest update on the story is Geffen Records says it's all untrue, even though the source of the information originally came from a Geffen employee (in another country)...so, go figure. Would this be a G N' R release without controversy?
