They do that when release dates change to no forseeable future. I've seen a lot of items get bumped 20 years into the future just cause it's easier to keep the listing and change the date, than it is to remove the listing and re-create it if the record company changes their mind at the last minute.

Actually I emailed them and they said it was just a technical error.

You'd think if it was a technical error, it would have been corrected by now.  I think the "moved forward to no foreseeable date," is more likely.

Wow, I'll be 44---meaning it will arrive just in time for my midlife crisis   !

 As for what Halfin said-yeah, looks like something happened b/w the time he conversed with Slash and now....my guess is the record company realized they just were in too short a timetable to get the compilation out and promote it enough to be a hot holiday seller. But if we don't see a reschedule date for it soon (meaning within the winter-early spring period)-well then that might be something worth pondering...

i think that they planned to release this product, but Axl made it clear that its no need, because CD is ready for release. So i guess they are planning the release right now. It seems like Robin has been away the last month, not even updating his website. Tommy is also quiet, and it seems like this is the most important guys, in the planning. They have bouth been in the band since the beginning of NEW GNR. Isnt Tommy Musical director or something? I also belive alot in tommys last quote in September: I'm told there may be news on the GNR front coming soon, but til it's formal and written in at least pencil my lips are sealed. Sorry........Stay tuned.
 There is no doubt he is updated on the subject. Richard will end his Tour in december... Dizzy are having fun with his hookers and blow.. Bot does he have any further dates on his agenda?

Im not saying this is how it is, and im not "hoping" and "thinking" that this is whats going on. But im just waighting up for all the negativity! If speculate at al, why not be positive! I think this silence is more interesting then anything..!

By the way, alot on negative people on the board "you can figure out who yourself" are saying that they think nothing will happend in a long time, and loose hope.. But i think they are all liars, why else do they visit the messageboard everyday, and use alot of time here... They are hoping for something new!

Some people here thinks that 2006 will be the year of CD since 2+0+0+6=8, and Axl was born in (19)62, 6+2=8, etc., so 8 is the magic number of Axl. (BTW 2015 can be the year...)

I wander whether Robin has anything to do with the 'last minute recording updates' Richard referred to.

I'm pretty sure none of the band members sit back and wait for GN'R updates like we do. If you think how much the delays frustrate us, I'm sure its 3x worse for them. Sure, maybe they don't hassle Axl, but I'm sure they or their managers make frequent contact with Merck.

I'm not waiting around for the band members to speak. To me there are 3 significant events (that we know of) that will tell us all we need to know about this band - Rock In Rio, the March Court Case and Tommy's activity with Soul Asylum.
