The way I read Slash's comment was that there would be a "greatest hits two" (Geffen's Tracklist)

and "a Very Best of" (Axl/Sanctuary's tracklisting)

I just didn't think that they would both see the light of day (if cduniverse is correct with the dates). I figured Geffen threatened him with a second GH release, then Axl said well if thats what you want I'll give you a greatest hit's and put together his own track list.

But geffens GH is already out. Splat's message shows a release for GH2 on Dec 13, then TVBOGNR a week later.

So, from the message from Slash, TVBOGNR is Axl's GH + Geffens GH? If GH2 is Axl's list I may very well buy it just cuz it's got his approval. But I ain't ever touching the garbage from last year. I think that if there were 2 distinct CD's coming out then they would package them both separately then as a combo. not only one then both. That makes absolutely no fucking sense. This whole deal smells like shit to me.

I understand there is already a GH from Geffen. Hence the Title "Greatest Hits 2"

So on 12/13 Geffen releases their second tracklist.
on 12/20 Geffen releases TVBOGNR Which is Axl's two disc Compilation

But I have a feeling that GH2 (geffen's tracklist was there to get Axl to move) unfortuantly he countered with a GH of his own and not CD. So that release will not happen. Where is the confirmation that this two disc set is a bundle containing GH1??

Another online shop has it for preorder, only GH2, not WTTJ, and take a look at the date -

Maybe it's the European release date.

The site seems to be European anyway.

I'll try to get some info from Universal Greece. If there's any chance of this being released earlier in Germany, they should know it by now too.

If we really do get 2 more versions of GH to go with the one released last year, it does nothing but hurt the possibility of seeing CD in the near future. 3 albums in a 12 month time span saturates a market, and people will not be as apt to run out and buy another GNR album 6 months from now when they have released so many in the previous yet.....even though they are compilation albums.

All these GH's fiascos have done is chip away at the GNR mystique of not releasing things.

Also, if Axl really is on board with this, why in the world doesn't he take the time he is wasting putting this together and work on finishing his masterpiece. I am positive the record label would have much rather released CD this Christmas season, so the fact we still aren't seeing it means he is not serious about finishing it....otherwise he wouldn't be fussing around with this.

I did just send a mail to Universal Germany (www.universal-rock.de) to ask if they know more about that stuff.
