So here's my challenge to the mods of this board.? Either admit that you're open hypocrites about banning politics because it "offends" people (god forbid we hurt someone's feelings) or remove the Avatar that is equally if not more offensive to people than any pro-Bush comment that was ever made on this board.? if I made an anti-semetic joke or stated that all jews should be killed, I'd be banned right?? So why the hell does a moderator have a picture of Adolf hitler as their avatar.

I could tell you what you can do with your "challenge".

Politics were banned because certain people could not discuss politics in a civil manner. A lot of ugly views were expressed thanks to those threads.

He should remove the avatar while it's ok for everybody to compare me to Hitler and call the moderators nazis? Now that's hypocritical....

Did you even condemn the people who call us those names or are you just demanding Christos to remove his avatar?

If people are going to get offended by the pictures they should get offended by the comments that some users make about the mods.

Everyone should remove their avatars. People tend to be more civilized without them. Look at Usenet. Even the trolls have funny, intelligent moments instead of being just purely offensive.

I'm not condeming either person. I'm stating that if we're going to claim one is wrong and un-acceptable (memebrs calling mods nazis) then you have to label Christos avatar unacceptable as well.  I'm not offended by either comment, but I was never offended when the political threads got out of hand.

And on the flip side, if you allow the nazi discussion, you have to allow the avatar, too.

If you remove the nazi discussion, those making the claim cry even more about the censorship of the board.

So, if you remove the avatar, or if the posters "make" Christos remove it...how is that any less censorship.

I'll admit, I find the avatar distasteful...ironic or not.

But I acknowledge that making him remove it would be just as distasteful.

The other avatar I don't like is cyber punks ass faced one. he might be using it for reasons best known to himself?like, he was called an asshead or something like that. An avatar is supposed to be the embodiment of the poster themselves.

What distasteful avatar other poster puts on themselves, it's theirs not mine. none of my business, really. However, If it were my friends one, I would pm them to suggest something cooler, such as the Chaplin one. As I don't think those who are put at unease by a pic of Hitler would use the word nazi lightly.
