What, to everyone, is the coolest part of each of the songs that leaked this year??

IRS, 3:13 to 3:23, "It's a crime you know it's truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue" while the Buckethead solo kicks in

Better, the Buckethead solo leading into the metal portion, Finck's solo and Axl's outro with the "If I were you, I'd manage to" line kicking in over with the "no, no, no, no" background vocals, and Buckethead's fills, Axl's vocal melodies in general

TWAT, Axl's "Ooooh, broken glass and cigarettes, writing on the wall" intro, basically all of Axl's lyrics and vocal melodies, and the Buckethead outro

CITR, the piano intro, Axl's "Everytime I'd see them makes me wish I had a gun" line, the "Ooooh, Catcher In The Rye Again, won't let you get away from him" chorus

Id say exactly the same thing, but for twat I like the third verse the best

if i could go back in time to the place in my soul... then into the solo

Best
Better - Axl's rhasp and his hi pitched, I Never Wanted You To Be
TWAT - Axl's estranged vocal style
I.R.S - guess... haha
CITR - Chris Pittman (WAY TO GO CHRIS, YA'S GOTS ME going Ballistic playing Super Mario to that Part) Werwha werwha

Worst Parts
Better - that break between the heavy and the reintroduction to the bridge The silent part with the gay effect (Chris you f'd up There man, That Sux)
Twat - Where it doesn't seem smooth.  There could be a better transition into "It was a long time for you)
I.R.S. - Robbins Solo... Kinda Weak compared to his cool Better Solo
CITR - I can't name a bad part in this song as my tastes are concerned

Better - Axl's voice in general... classic full-bodied rasp, especially during the verses... very powerful.
TWAT - All the solos.
IRS - The scream on top of the solo... I think most people agree on this.
Catcher - I have refrained from listening to this one (I promised myself not to listen to any more unfinished leaks after TWAT leaked)

IamRyanDean: Axl just walked out on stage, dropped his pants, pissed all over the front row and then left.  mumbled somethign about "how is that for a leak fuckers"

IRS - Scream going into the solo.

Better - I like the start of the second verse... the little keboard bit that leads into "So bittersweet.."

Catcher - The keyboard part at about two minutes... I also dig how he doubles up the vocals on the first "guess I'd have more fun"

TWAT - This is tough... I'd have to say the "There was a tiiiime" part and when the rhythm guitar kicks in after the piano.

IRS - the scream into the solo is great -- but his vocals are really great through out this, especially the part of "what should I do, if I gave my heart to you."  This song REALLY grew on me -  I think it's underrated.  It's very solid.

Better -- shoot; I didn't know there was a full version.   The best part that I have heard is the second time that "no ever told me" in falsetto comes in after the second set of verses.

TWAT - the bridge, the bridge, the bridge at 2:00 is excellent.  The rest of the song does not blow me away as much as others.  I like it, but don't return to it as often as the other ones that leaked.

CITR -- the keyboard break is fantastic; totally unexpected and it actually works (I wish it went on a little longer before the na-na-nas, which don't do that much for me); the last set of verses is a great finale.

All around, I am very impressed with the quality of stuff I have heard.  And I came into this very skeptical of whether Axl could do anything on his own.

How come no one's mentioning Madagascar or The Blues? They're new too. Smiley

TWAT - "But it looks like I'm about to see for myself If I could go back in time to the place in my soul There all alone"
Better - the melody of the verses
Madagascar - "Forgive them that tear down my soul Bless them that they might grow old And free them so that they may know That it's never too late "
The Blues - "I don't know just what I should do Everywhere I go I see you"

IRS:  of course, "It's such a crime, you know it's truuuuuuuue!," and the words right at
the beginning before the heavy guitar hits...a great set-up.

Better:  "Replay the part, you stole my heart, I should have known you're CRAAZY!"
The solo into, and including the "I NEVER WANTED YOU TO!..."

TWAT:  the painful expressions over and over, "I would do AAAANYTHING for you."  The
            guitar solos are mind-blowingly awesome.

CITR:   definitely that last verse.  So good.

To think these are only demos... drool  drool  drool  drool

Nothing against discussing the older "new" songs either  ok

The Blues, Axl's lyrics and vocals in general, especially "What I thought was true before were lies I couldn't see, what I thought was beautiful, was only memories, whoa oh oh, oh oh!", Finck's solo, and the background effects courtesy of Dizzy and Pittman

One more thing about The Blues, the part in the live performance when Axl jumped on the piano for the outro was very cool  smoking
