Never achieved big fame and stardom? I seem to remember guns being the biggest thing in the world for a couple years. What a crock.

I thought Paradise City wasn't even about LA.  I read it was just a made up place that they sang about bc life got crazy for them sometimes.

Paradise city isn't about L.A.? This article is so fuckin stupid.? ?Every single footage of the Paradise City video was of NEW York City.? "Welcome to the Jungle"is about his arrival to L.A? but the title of the song was inspired by his visit to NYC.? ?The line of? "Do you know where you are??? You're in the jungle baby? you gonna die!!"? was uttered to Axl by a homeless dude in NYC .? Axl felt it would be cool to add that to the song, Hence the title " welcome to the jungle"

"Posers since day one ".   funny how writers never forget to put in their cheap shots towards GNR no matter what their

articles  are about.    What does Chinese Democracy have to do with L.A??    dumb writers.

You are wrong. It was said to Axl by an old black guy? in the Bronx, NY? ? ?

here is the interview where Axl talks about it? ?( he says it like 5 minutes into the video)? ?

keep in mind these are music journalists, not fans of the band that read interviews of the band, and are only covering music on a superficial level.  To some extent there is a ring of truth to it, b/c b4 they call them posers, they mention they failed to capitilize on the stardom they seemed to knocking on.  Not the stardom they acheived, but, the status of bands like the Beattles, The Stones, Elvis, Zeppelin, where 40 years after breaking thru, there still relevant.

Just an opinion.
