Duff and Scott are set to appear as guest judges on the Tuesday, April 25th episode of Nashville Star, airing live from the Acuff Theater in Nashville, TN at 10PM/9 central on the USA Network. Nashville Star is a joint effort between RCA Records and USA Network to conduct a nationwide talent search for the next great country-music artist.

They have the strangest judges on that show. They had John Cena (a rapping wrestler) and now Duff and Scott? Strange. Should be interesting...

from mtv.com

"Velvet Revolver's Scott Weiland and Duff McKagan will be taking a break from recording the band's second LP to act as guest judges on USA's "Nashville Star" Tuesday, according to the band's publicist. The episode will also feature a performance by Hank Williams Jr."

If all of them are there, that should debunk everything.

I think it should and it probably is, but i think he was trying to say if they are there they can't be touring with their old band..

Nashville Star can't determine what the hell it wants to be. Is it American Idol set to a country version ? Is it something else and judging people on artistic merits ? They've had some of the wackiest judges on there , and I still can't understand how John Cena is regarded as a music pro. Considering his album bombed here and he's a wannabe rapper.

It speaks when Leann Rhimes would no show , shows last year. Anyone remember when Rhimes gave excuses and would call him claiming she couldn't make tapings ? I guess she realized how wacky this show is.

" Hey , lets invite hard rockers like Velvet Revolver to judge and have Hank Williams Jr perform ! What do you mean Scott Wieland or Duff McKagen aren't country music stars ? "    Wink

So now that its long over - what happened on the show with the guys?

they took turns judging the singers' performances..thats it

Duff was like, "good job man, that was cool"
Scott was super technical about pitches and techniques
