I basically think the plan is to play the shows in Europe as a warm up, and to test some new songs live.
then release the album as they start the US tour...but we're gonna have to see if they get that far.

Axl is no fool.  We'll hear IRS, TWAT & Better.

Wasn't it November of 2004 that CD was supposed to come out per that VH1 special?

I say no later than September of this year for cd's release.

These shows were geared toward the fans who've kept these boards going..........I predict info on the first night.

Everyone knows anything less would be a dissapointment.

has it ever occured to any of you that this has been Axl's plan all along
       after gnr broke up, and began to fade away and become a joke
instead of rebounding fast to make up for it, he layed low, recorded
every once in a while and keep the rock n roll legend alive

and he hasnt released it when rumors spead because he prolly wants to be unpredictable

Dude, if he is still "testing out the songs live", my head will explode. They had an entire tour that was a warm up in 2002!

Nope, just rumours so far. Would make sense though, after the European leg of the tour.
