It only takes one jerk to sell those 9-11 passwords and the scalpers are all ready to go.

Pretty good gig...... the scalper pays 3 bucks for the password and then turns around and sells the ticket for an extra 130 EACH.

A lot of the tix on ebay are scams. I called stubhub last night to see how they could have tickets to a show that hadn't gone on sale yet, and was told that each ticket has an individual seller, and once the sale is confirmed the seller must come through with your order. If for some reason they dont, stubhub will buy you an equal or better ticket, and bill the original seller for any cost difference.

According to a bulletin posted by the cat club on myspace guns will be doing 4 shows in nyc and not 2. Guess we will find out soon if any more shows are going to be added. This is a screen shot of the bulletin:

Hmm.  Typically bands will announce added shows after their initial dates sell-out.  This makes sense and is thus an interesting possibility.

BTW, we are only so pissed off because of the fuckin' tourists all the time.

Good lord, once the nice weather hits, they're out in full force.? You know what's going to happen, right?? We'll be waiting outside the Hammerstein and every 5 minutes, someone is going to ask you what you're waiting around for.? Happened to me on the U2 GA line outside MSG.?

I might spare myself the breath this time and just wear a sign "I'm waiting for a concert, move along, nothing to see here."

rofl ?oh man, so true... ? ?

they'll hop off the big red tour bus and walk up with their cameras, hoping to get a picture of some fascinating thing or another ?confused

Just a note to any NY tourists: don't stop in the middle of the sidewalk to take pictures or to look at something. Step to the side. Seems like common sense, but you'd be surprised.

But on topic: those 2 extra shows are a really interesting theory...   that would be awesome

Would be really cool...but could easily be un-true or have to do with some sit-in gigs at Hard Rock, etc. I don't believe anything about GNR unless its 299% official...and I won't be happy about planning my NYC trip till after the show.

I just read that the event had a "24 hour ticket fast delay"  Does this mean that they search through the orders durring this time and look for fishy things?

I think the ticketfast delay 24 hours means you cant print your own tickets (the ticketfast option), you'lll have to pay the money to have them shipped.  I have seen this with other presells.

all you should need is the password to type in, however even with the leak, this is probably a better shot than the regular sale on saturday, as not everyone who wants checks the net for password leaks.

Ebay is FLOODED with people selling tickets to these two shows.

All GA of course. I'm assuming they are just taking the risk, sure they will get GA tickets with their presale password.

Amazing.............

now you see what I meant when I said ticketmaster is a scam. The brokers have deals worked out with ticketmaster. The tickets are virtually already in their hands. Thats why the VR show sold out in 2mins and eventhough there was a 8 ticket limit brokers on ebay had 50 each.

what kind of a person would leak the password, alot of people on this board went out of their way to help get a pre-pre sale just for us forum users, was the system perfect no, but it intended to get the true fans at this show. ?i just hope everyone who legitimately received the password is able to get tix, and for those who didnt keep the faith ... there good people in the world especially in NY. ? quick story, a few years ago i went to the lennox lewis/michael grant fight at msg, my dad lost/left his wallet at a bank in penn station, 1 month later the wallet was mailed back to him, with a letter saying i didnt take anything other then 2 bucks to mail it to you, from one good new yorker to another ... no name or nothing
