Twas the night before Guns N Roses tickets...

Sometimes one is just moved to poetry, this is one of those times.

Twas the night before Guns N Roses tickets, and all through the nation
Every rock fan was stirring, from Stern to your local radio station.
Each ticketmaster account and credit card were laid bare,
In hopes that among Axl?s company, they soon would be there.

The die-hards could nary catch a wink in their beds,
While visions of Sweet Child dance in their heads.
And the girlfriend in her Vicky?s, and I in my vintage shirt
Had just logged onto HTGTH to read the latest dirt.

When from the 1000 Watt stereo there arose such a clatter,
The IRS 15 second scream, my glass it did shatter.
Daydreaming, away to New York we?ll fly like a flash,
Hoping Axl will show up (with or without Slash).

The moon on the breast of a crisp spring morn?,
Shone through the night, when that band shall be reborn.
Years of waiting, rumors through and though,
Before the day when he finally says ?Round two.?

The day will yet come, when we?ll see Axl so lively and quick,
Surrounded by his guns, the very best he could pick.
More rapid than eagles his fans they came,
And he?ll sing, and he?ll rant, and call out the haters by name.

Late into the night the fans will await,
Restless, chanting?Guns? n? Roses to no abate.
Till the lights they?ll turn low,
Just like so many years ago?

Axl sprang to the stage, to his team gave a whistle,
Away they all played with the force of a missile.
As the lights flashed ?a bright, to the front strode the star
And he exclaimed, ?DO YOU KNOW WHERE THE FUCK YOU ARE!!!?
