If you have been playing for 6 years you do NOT wanna be treated like a beginner or the lessons will seem boring and monotonous and you will not enjoy them. I have been playing for two years and finally found a guy who just opened up a guitar shop to teach me lessons. (10 dollars per half hour, you cant beat it!) However i took a month of lessons from another guy who treated me as a beginner and i was doing powerchord exercises that made me wanna smash my guitar against the wall.
Go to him telling him what you know and what you want to do and let him just tailor the lessons to you. It's the best way, I think.
maybe your right, but what i have learnt is only things ive picked up myself which could be incorrect.ive had guitars for 6 years but only played them once or twice a month for a few years but the past two years ive played alot more and since i got my LP last year ive played at least 3 times a week.but i still dont feel like im getting far so thats why ive decided to have some lessons so someone can run through the basics with me and then see how i progress.thats why i wanted to start like a beginner but maybe i just need to be more confident with my abilitys and see how it goes.
the guy im goin to has a guitar shop and he charges about 15 pounds (around 20 us dollars) for half an hour.does anybody know of any cheaper in the flintshire region of north wales UK
