I searched all over to see if this was already discussed, so if it has, then the mods can delete or merge this.

As I've discussed in previous threads, every Wednesday a rep from Sanctuary comes on a local sports station in Minneapolis to discuss music for a half hour with the morning show.
Whenever there's guns news, he usually discusses it.

Today, he brought up the NY shows, but also said that he had just found out the day before that Slash is now also managed by Sanctuary.
He still dismissed reunion rumors saying it was coincidence.
Plus, he did mention that velvet revolver owes their record label one more CD, so that would put a wrench into any reunion opportunity as well.
When one of the guys on the show asked how many original members were in the band, he just said "one. Just Axl".
This guy isn't directly involved with Gnr at all, he's just a rep for Sanctuary's record label, so he's not THAT plugged in. But, he does hear things, obviously.

Does it make a difference? If both Axl and Slash are managed by Sanctuary?

don't think that's that interesting. if someone at sanctuary says there's only one original member left then I believe it. plus vr ows the record label a second cd thing.

Theoretically Slash can do both.  It's just out of all the management agencies Slash goes to Sanctuary.  Couple that with all of the other rumors and we have ourselves in a very strange situation.

Could mean that Slash will rejoin once they fulfill their commitment to the record label for a VR record.

I always thought VR had a 3 album deal.  I guess VR can do 2 studio albums then a live album if needed.

isn't the Slash and Duff lawsuit something to do with Sanctuary getting the rights to the old recordings and not paying them?

The station is KFAN. The guy doesn't work there, and only comes in for 1/2 a week, so emailing the station won't really help, unfortunately. Anyone who lives in MPLS can listen on wednesday mornings, as he's on from about 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM. They also have a live stream at kfan.com
However, I've never made anything up on this board, and Im telling you exactly what he said. I couldn't find any reference to it online anywhere, but the guys is legit.

Yea, I remember someone posting before about a guy from Sanctuary that talks with a dj on the radio.  It's legit.

Yeah Lesty and the Sanctuary dude are both legit.? I used to live in MPLS and heard this before, unfortunately not this week.?

I'm not even going to get worked up about this because 1, it's probably nothing, and 2, I have been coming here everyday for four years and for the life of me can never understand the whole Sanctuary/Interscope/Universal/Geffen things and who belongs to what no matter how many times people explain it.? I think my brain hears 'sanctuary' and automatically goes into hibernation.?

It is kind of weird though because wasn't there a rumor about Slash's management (Perla) not getting along with the others in VR?
