Why do I feel like these boards are going to be lit up like NYC until the presale announcement info finally comes through? Can't wait to  hopefully feel "Better" about the ticket situation.  Grin

I've already booked a bus ticket, made reservations for my hotel and talked to professors at my college to reschedule exams so I can make both shows. ?I'm definitely there - I need 1 ticket for each night.

This is so awesome.

Mysteron, please let the powers that be know how appreciated we all are for giving us this opportunity.

Hopefully we will have plenty of notice about this presale so that if I have to work all day I won't miss out.

But muchas gracias to management and the band!!! peace

i think the presale to forum members is a good way of ensuring a partisan crowd for any possible video that could be shot.

but i'm paranoid about alot of things. maybe it is just the band being very nice.

or maybe i'm just bitter that i'm not going.

This is true, a crowd full of hardcore fans ensures good reviews, and also a positive crowd that night. Therefore any press done as a result will be very good. Can't wait to go.

i never even considered the reviews it would get. i'm getting more paranoid by the minute.

Actually, if it is true then its pretty good marketing.

I don't get this at all. This seriously can't be the thread where we request tickets. really what's going on? Mr. Intensity you keep saying we'll get our tickets if we request them(I have yet to commit) but really is this thread a legit way to "reserve" our presale tickets?

I think it was a way to initially see how many tickets could be sold to see if it was worthwhile, but im pretty sure (no sources, just think it will go this way) the forums will get passwords to use on ticketmaster before the public can buy them. Thats how most presales work.

What the above poster said - a presale password will be distributed to forum members.

But I have a feeling someone will leak the password.

There will only be a certain number of internet presale tickets available anyway, so hopefully we snatch the tickets before a leak happens.

Indeed.  Perhaps send it in PM form to all members; as opposed to posting it on the forum where outsiders could find it easily.  And immediate deletion/ban of those members who decide to post said password.  I'm sure we want to keep this "in the family."

Yes, the distribution of the password needs to be private, there are people on here who are coming from all corners to see them (me not included, I'm in maryland only a few hours away) and have waited a long time for this, and they deserve to attend.

I must admit life is trite but that's all right

« Reply #196 on: April 16, 2006, 08:59:49 PM »

well look I think the best way this would work ideally is for people who are regular posters or have been members on the board for more than like 2 months should be given the code first IF a code is being given out.  Then after those people have the presale code for about a day then the presale code can be given out to the others who are the 'new' people who showed up out of nowhere.

I know its very difficult to organize, but I think that is the best way this can work.  I REALLY hope this show is GA.  I dont want a presale code only to find myself battling for seats in the 1st and 2nd balcony.

I hate to be an elitist prick about the message board 'veterans' getting the presale code first, but it seems like the only way that it can be done fairly.  Maybe now the lurkers will jump in and actually participate!
