So if and when this happens will there be some kind of post to let us know or do you think the password is going to be distrubuted through pm's or something? ?I am definitely going but if there is a pre sale that would save me from having to take the time off work to score tix!

You dont have to post, you can tell by how much long in time you have.

see but I've been on this site for 5yrs, and on gnronline before that.? I only registered the times when it was not possible to view the board without being a member. And I've had like 3 accounts because I would forget my username. That's why I suggested using the mailing list

P.S I had tickets for the Dallas and Houston shows that were cancelled, so I'd really like to go to this one. I have to ask my g/f though.

This would be great...however how do we prevent the presale info. from entering the hands of scalpers?  I'm excited to hear the details.  I would love 2 tickets for either night but would settle for 1.  I'm definitely going to be able to make it as I live in Jersey City, right outside NYC.

This person makes an EXCELLENT point.  If there's a pre-sale password distributed for the tickets.  We need to do everything in our power to assure that it doesn't get into the hands of scalpers / brokers.  Otherwise, we're defeating the entire purpose of this process.

I'm hoping that they don't have 'sleeper accounts' on various message boards just waiting for things like this.  I realize there's no way to put a 100% kabosh on the process - but still, all necessary precautions by us, the fan base, should be taken.  (i.e. - don't give the pre-sale password to your cousin Frank who once listened to SCOM and thought it was a "groovy song")

I know I look shady, having just registered... I've honestly been lurking on the board for years now, waiting for Chinese Democracy (like the rest of you nuts!)- I swear on everything that is holy, I am not a scalper, and <b>all I want is one ticket for each night</b> !  Ever since these shows were announced, this is ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT !  lol.  I've been listening to all the new trakcs on a shuffle.  Since there is a backlash against noobs making requests, I thought I'd throw that out there!

Problem with that is we tend to have alot of lurkers who might post once every 3 or 4 months - but are still active 'board members'.  I just hope we, as a community, can exercise enough discretion to keep the pre-sale password out of the hands of those that, frankly, have no business having access to it.

I am just throwing around ideas. But if? you limit it to two per person, then the scaplers wont waste their time on two tix, you know what I mean? Its too bad they dont add a 3rd show for just board members.

ppl like jarmo (htgth), eric (mygnr), bi polar(cd.com) etc disbriute the tix, that would be cool to have just all the board ppl at one show

And I agree as long as? you are a member of the boards and are gonna go to the show you should get a chance to get tix, its just the people that are gonna get tix then resell them shouldnt.

We are putting together plans to make NY tickets available to GN'R forum users first before they go on general sale. This applies to all GN'R forums, not just this one.

I think it would be great for all you people to meet each other, and it would also make it more special for the band.

Only people who are certain they are going should apply.

I will, hopefully, be able to give you more information tomorrow. For now, if you can decide if you are definitely going, that would be great.

This is an incredible idea. If I can get a ticket this way, I can definitely make it. Put me down for two, please (I'll be happy with one, if that's easier, in which case I'll just party with all you guys). I've been wanting to party in NYC in years but have been waiting for the right occasion. This is it.

Thanks for looking out for people like me ? ?I have been lurking on this site in particular well before I even set up an account, and an old website called lostrose before that. ?

I'd love to see this thing get off on as good of a foot as possible, and having us passionate fans that can sing along to not only SCOM, but TWAT as well (not sure they'll play this, but just making a point) would give Axl such a confidence boost.

I'm down for both nights, 100% committed.  Would like 2 tickets, but would be fine if only singles available.

I've been developing a strategy for how to crack the "2,000 seats but 200,000 people trying to buy simultaneously on ticketmaster" problem - and this is it!!!  These forums have been really the only thing we GNR fans have had other than the 2002 tour, and it's wonderful that we as a community are pulling this together.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
