I don't think he will answer anything about Chinese Democracy. He may just answer "soon" or "hopefully".

If you look back at the 2002 VMA's interview. When asked "Is CD gonna come out soon?" He answer " I don't know if soon is the word but it will come out.....". Which is true. No CD in 4 years.

Korn Party Interview: "People will hear music this year". And shortly we hear 4 demo leaks.

When he said "we're getting there" means it will come out. Maybe this year, maybe next but it will definitely come out.
