Ok, they have went to commercial break again, and they came back and are now about to play some tommy solo stuff. They are uploading the second talking part  (which is really the third) right now. No mention of GNR, though.

What's with all this "hope Tommy is still w/GN'R" talk?

He's in GN'R.

Sorry man. Your right, it just he seems extremely busy. But lots of people on the boards have confirmed hes still with GNR, so whoops.

Sounds like they're stepping around GNR very carefully.  They don't wanna talk about it at ALL.  Goddamn frustrating.

Sounds like they're stepping around GNR very carefully.? They don't wanna talk about it at ALL.? Goddamn frustrating.

Funny, I've never heard them side-step it like this. ?Usually the questions will be asked, and the guy's give a generic answer. ?Tonight, Tommy won't even let him get close to it--talking up Westerburg and the Soul Asylum gigs. ?That is the most I have heard him say about Paul Westerburg in years. ?

Yes, he did, but their doing a real bad job of it. ?Like stopping midsentence when they know it's getting too close and changing direction.

They are talking about what he's doing and I think GNR is taking up a whole lot of his time right now. ?He just doesn't wanna SAY that.

Here's the chili peppers vs. Petty part

They just came back and started talking about the new RHCP song, and how it sounds alot like Tom Petty's Last Dance with Mary Jane:

Or he is furious (and does not want to talk about it) that he has spent seven years working on CD, and the work he has done might not be released, which would have given him a residual revenue stream for his work?? ?

Just playing devil's advocate! ?They sure are dancing around GNR though.

One thing you all have to understand: He is a guest there, and is playing THEIR festival with SOUL ASYLUM.

It's completely understandable why he wouldn't want to draw attention away from that by talking about GNR.

I myself am a fan of Tommy, with or without GNR.
