One thing, yeah fair enough all these religious holidays are taking over by corporations, but giving eggs, presents etc. does kind of promote giving and love, and isn't that their original idea?

Eggs are the symbol of new life!  I know because I learnt that in primary school and I can remember primary school!!

Torture and death!?  They dont tell you that story in primary school...??


I got told it was because Jesus is born to eternal life and gives people new life.  (aka eternal life in heaven)  The egg is a symbol of life, as is the chick (as in chicken).  People used to give chicks and then little eggs and it gradually changed into chocolate eggs!!!

Yes they do, at least here, when we are kids we are like hipnotise to christianity and they put all the thing of Christ died for us since we were 5 years old even though is a scary scene  Sad
