since not everyone is going to get to go that is a gnr fan, Axl should take a note from PJ and put these two shows on CD and DVD to hold us over until the album.  I think it would be great if these shows were professional done.

I love all the PJ references lately!

May should be an AWESOME month:

1) Going to Pearl Jam concert May 25th

2) Pearl Jam album coming out May 2nd

3) Going to see GNR May 15th (assuming I get tickets....which I will)

4) New GNR single (hopefully...based on rumors)

april showers bring MAY FLOWERS ok

It would just create more negative reviews

-"cover band w/Axl"
-"All he can do is release a live album?"

And it woudn't sell much I don't think. Just give the impresion that GN'R's album wont sell.

No, just release the album already. The dir-hards can be tided over w/bootlegs.

Not if it was packaged with the first single? ok

And dont even release it in stores, just on gnronline via their mailing list.

Don't be a dumb-ass.  These shows shouldn't be on DVD.  These are warm ups and probably will have many flaws.

He is a perfectionist are you some kinda idiot?

I was thinking along the same line except I was thinking about Instant Live. A limited edition of CD's for each show on the tour. CD's are available to be picked up about 10-15 minutes after the show is done and the rest are sold on the Instant Live website.

I have 3 and the quality is superb. Cost about $25 bucks per show

instant live is pretty good when done right and a good idea, but it seems like Axl would never want to be a part of such a thing, it doesn't seem like his style at all.

well if the rumour is true, theyre going to use some footage for their first video

releasing anything prior to CD would be a mistake, but down the line, if the show is considered an exceptional performance, then definitley

Axl needs to get Chinese Democracy out jeeez...

and of all the gigs we know about so far i see the two warm up gigs as the two most likely not to be "put out" in any way... just like the vegas gigs...

id say if they are filming for the video-they might film the whole performance, but i dont think it'll be released right away, though i agree dave it would be a neat idea.

They should put out the shows only if they are up to par. It is a warm up show and they havent played together in 4 years. Id be more for a DVD of the later European shows when they shake off the rust.
