at this point, I would guess, and say "No".

the idea is to play, get out any "stage rust", have some U.S. Warm Up Shows (not a tour) and then go on to their shows in Europe. ?

If he was trying to send a message to L.A. he would play dates in San Diego or Frisco.
NYC is most likely just easiest as far as scheduling goes

It wouldn't be hard to schedule a show in LA, after all they're rehearsing in Burbank.  They would sell out a show in a smaller venue in minutes

please axl, play LA.  Im a new yorker trapped in LA.  Dont make me take a greyhound to NY to see the shows.  I took a greyhound from NY to vegqas for HOB.  Im a bit older now.  I cant handle this.   Im gonna have a breakdown!

They are (or will be) rehearsing in LA. I wouldn't be shocked to see one LA performance or a Vegas show. But it would have to be before the NY shows.

Logistically, I assume they planned the two NY shows, so they can skip across the pond and get a few days rest before the tour kicks in.
