Rest In Peace Proof of D12

this is such a sad day, one of eminem's best friends and fellow rapper in the group d12 was murdered earlier today, shot in the head at a detroit night club. proof was a very talented rapper and a great person who had plans to start an organization for helping children with the money he was making. he was only 32 years old, and he leaves behind 5 young children and a wife. i hope you will keep his family and friends in your prayers. rest in peace, deshaun holton.

I didn't believe it when I read it this morning. That's crazy... Just over 3 months after Obie Trice got shot as well (non-fatal). I'm suprised actually that Eminem's crew would be targets for violence like this. Of course, I was just as shocked that someone would gun down Jam Master Jay.
Proof always seemed like the most talented rapper in D12, it's a shame this had to happen.

he really was one of the most talented rappers i've heard from that area, his skills were up to par with the best. terrible loss both for his family, friends and the hip hop community as a whole. rest in peace.

yes. this is taken from allhiphop.com:
Proof was shot and killed around 4:30 am on April 11 and the bouncer was seriously wounded, both with gunshots to the head.
Police are still releasing details in the shooting and have identified the second man as 35-year-old Keith Bender. Bender is alive, but is still in critical condition.

he hasn't yet, apperantly the only thing he has stated is that he will continue with recording out of respect for proof. he was seen leaving the hospital in tears, that's all i know.

I just read in another article that Proof was the one who shot the person that is in critical condition, and that he was the one who shot first. They also said it might be a difficult scene to investigate because the club was open after-hours and everyone was gone by the time the police showed up.

witnesses say that the bouncer started a fight with proof and pulled a gun on him and then proof defended himself and shot the bouncer, after which the bouncer's cousin shot proof twice in the chest and three times in the head. this is murder, an excecution of a wounded man, and if this guy walks from this it just proves once again how racist the police in the US are, especially since they already hinted that proof shot the guy in cold blood, which doesn't make sense at all.
