so the band are rehearsing for the upcoming european tour.does this cofirm that they will be playing alot more new songs than old songs.if they were goin to do the setlist from 2002 then surely they wouldnt need that much time to rehearse.do you guys think we can expect only a couple of old GNR songs this time round and maybe 8 new songs?

I think axl has finally found out that he needs to buckle down to release this album and showing up and promoting the tours ids one great way to do this.... so i do beleive that hes showing up for the rehearles

yeah,i agree about axl showing up.there doesnt seem to be any friction amongst the band as far as we know anyway.but with them rehearsing for say 2 months would mean that they arnt rehearsing the old songs that they played in 02.this surely means they are rehearsing new material for the shows.

I hope they are rehearsing primarily new material.. with some select stuff from the Illusions Axl didn't play the last time around like Coma, locomotive, etc...

yeah it would be cool to hear the old songs that werent played in the 02 tour but id prefer 50 percent new songs aswell.
is 2 months long enough to rehears say 8 new songs for a tour or would they need longer?

They would need to rehearse in any event. It's been 4 years since the band has been together. I hope they play new stuff, but even the old stuff needs rehearsing since the band has played together on the road for less than 6 months since 1998.

No, I'm in a band and if we have a show coming up we really only need like 2 weeks to be prepared. But extra time always will make you sound better. They are just making sure that they are really prepared.

in the early days GNR played songs that would later be on the illusion albums.do you think they might play or have played songs that might be on an album after CD.you can rehearse a lot of songs in 2 months.

New and old one would imagine. Doubt Axl bothers to show up, he has trouble finding the required energy to show for gigs  when all is said and done taking into account 2002's gigs, Axl's singing was at times the weak link in the chain  Axl needs to rehearse. |
