Shit, leave it to Axl to decide half way through the mastering that something could've turned out better, thus they head back into the studio to "fix a few things" and 3 more years pass with us scratching our heads.

It wasnt even being mastered man.

It's never reached the mastering stage.

You'd have to assume that with the whole band together for the first time since late 02 that they would be jamming most the new catalog and deciding which 12-15 songs they want to appear on Chinese Democracy. Although, I assume most of the tracklisting responsibility falls into Axl's lap, I'm sure he takes into consideration what other band members think about the work.

Mr. Intensity,

What's your sense on the guitarist situation? Robin and Richard alone or have they added a third?

If CD is to be released in September, how about this scenario ... Since GNR is playing 18 shows in Europe, they play mainly old songs with some songs they didn't play in 2002 like Civil War and Coma, they also play CD, The blues, and Madagascar, and they play one new song a show.  By the end of the tour they will have unvieled 18 new songs that are supposed to be on CD.  Then come September we already have our singles, get CD, then for the 06 US tour, the play mainly new stuff with the old classics.

No, they have to play new stuff in Europe - didnt one of the press releases (Download?) state that he would be performing CD?

Since Better, IRS, CITR And TWAT were leaked I am assuming for new songs they will play CD, Madagascar, the blues, TWAT, IRS, CITR and better. They could even add in the first single if t hey wanted.

How can anyone be happy that Richard said, " hopefully September"? ?That sucks. ? That means no CD this summer, it means GN'R will do the same set, and if all goes wrong( which there is always a chance) the album will be delayed again. ?I think this is horrible news. ?I don't see how they can tour without something new out. ?I think it is dumb. ?I hope someong from the band reads this and smacks whoever is in charge. ? rant

Axl said you will hear new music this year... maybe you will have a single, or a download or new songs at the shows... Quit crying like a little bitch...

You know so far, Richards emails have been more accurate then anything Tommy ever said from 02-04.  Richard sort of become the new mediator between gnr and the fans.  i mean he was saying they would probably tour in 06 back in the middle of 05 and we were like this is bullshit, so if he's hinting at CD coming out in september and a US tour, we should still take it with a grain of salt, but so far hes been fairly accurate with what he says.

Deja vu..........1991

You Could Be Mine debuts on Terminator 2 in May or so of 1991.

GNR start a spring/summer tour then release UYI's in Sept. 1991.

YCBM did not make any soundtrack because I'm sure I would have bought it just like I bought that Romanian cd in 1990 that included Civil War.

As far as new songs being played during the pre-US tour shows, they can play 6 "new" songs and get by until the Sept. release.

The crowd wil be familiar with CD, Blues, Mads and will go balistic when Guns plays IRS, TWAT.....Better and maybe even one or two songs that we have not heard yet.

I doubt we'll hear CITR as Axl said that will be on the second cd.........but even that song may make it to the first cd because of the favorable response from diehards.

Thanks dave......very fitting the relentlessly positive poster gets the inside info first. ?Think about it man......nearly 6,000 pro new-GNR posts.........well done!
