i'm not neither English nore American and i'm not a native speaker, but I can tell you with a great amount of certaincy, that "as far as I know" is just an expression used in common english. To me, "as far as i know" is a lot more closer to "i don't give a fuck"... I'm praying,that Slash would play, but if we stick here 24/7 and talk 'bout every single word it won't help anybody a damn thing. Don't the English say "let byegone's be byegone's"?

Slash was either being sarcastic like "yeah of course I'm still in" or he was joking about it like "of cause I'm still in". OK I can't explain it properly but I think he is anythink but "unsure"

My gut is that he is out, or was very close to being out.  Things just don't look good and the reunion talk was much closer then we all had thought.

You'd think that the lead guitarist, loving life in his successful rock n' roll band would give a slightly more definative answer than this...?!

It sounds to me that he either:

A) Doesn't want to be in the band too much anymore
B) Doesn't know what is going on

I agree, it was probably sarcasm to a stupid question. When a person says that (as far as I know) it means the answer is so obvious that it is insulting to answer it seriously.
