Do you actually think there is any merit to these Slash and Duff are back rumors?
...but then again, not one single person on this forum knows shit about what is happening with GNR, so who knows...
Tell that to Mr Intensity.
I guess most the stuff I post regarding Guns N Roses has been proven false then.. oh wait, everything I've said has been proven correct so far.. I forgot about that.

The rumors in the Classic Rock article say that the supposed reunion tour fell apart when it was discovered that Axl demanded rights to the GNR name and the back catalog.? I can understand the back catalog issue, but hasn't it already been established that the band signed away the GNR name to Axl a long time ago?? That kind of poor attention to detail leads me to believe the article is BS.
The article was bs and I imagine it was confirmed by management to be BS which is why Jarmo removed it from this site.

management said that there`d be no reunion. that`s what the article said as well....
and management tells what axl wants us and the public to know. they basically have to take and defend axl`s position. they?re not telling the gospel truth.... that`s something most people here seem to forget sometimes.....

do you seriously think some promoter would create a gnr logo???
and then send it to all other promoters as well as festival promoters?
and richard posts the unofficial logo as well?
i don?t think so....
I think Richard's webmaster would just scoop up the most recent guns n roses logo he could find, preferably the one being used on posters/pamphlets to promote the shows.
I also believe that any promoter, who was informed gnr would be on a concert, would probably at first try to get an "official" logo, but then if that could not be attained would resort to creating his own logo to promote the concert. Once that logo was seen, all other promoters would then assume its official or use it because it is the newest one to appear.
No source I have has verified that as "official"..and in my opinion it look pretty tacky.. that's not something I think Axl would approve of...
so basically you know nothing, but you speculate a little?
no offense, but i`d take christos` speculation regarding the logo over yours any day of the week....

The article also says there was an attempted mediation of the lawsuit - is that untrue as well?
Isn't the Classic Rock article supposed to be another April fool?
As for the attempted mediation bit, most likely their guess is as good as yours.

I'm publicly backing off the statement that logo wasn't created by someone in the gnr camp.
My apologies WaRose.

I finally got annoyed with all the logo talk and contacted buckethead's hand puppet, he then explained to me the truth. I also asked him for the track "prostitute" but the fucker wanted like 500 dolls/toys in trade...

As far as management is concerned, GnR's management is the worst.
Do you think management would confirm that article as true? The article implies that Axl tried to trick his former bandmates into signing over the whole back catalog.

Actually they prolly do a fine job... all the lawsuits, demands, Clear Channel, Overseas tours, Record label complaining, and nosy fans would prolly make them very very busy...... just be glad they dont have someone like Doc McGee who would sell GnR out in heartbeat.

No, I think that if it had happened there'd more rumors about it.
The lawsuit is still going on, how could that be the case if those two were in the same band as Axl??
/jarmo
But then all these tours with no lead guitarist... the songs we hear all have 3 guitars mixed into them. there is not doubt about that. and the lawsuit can go on or months up until axl comes out with the truth.
think about it why would axl say out of nowhere "oh, i was joking we are getting back together." now axl can say this. the day of the act, axl can say these lawsuits were all bullshit. and slash didnt drop the suit so it wouldnt look obvious. kind of my wide eyed vison of reality...sorry im sitll rootin' for old gnr. new gnr rules but im not living in 2006... see right now im in the year of april 91 and im bithcing at axl to bring out this new cd's.. and it seems so close yet so far.

I can't follow the logic.
Do you actually think there would be any merit for GNR in making you believe that no ex member would come back if any? And in suing each other just for that? To Lie to the fans to worry them till the last moment and then to surprise them that way would be pointless and plain silly. Or else, was such bs cool or something in the 80s?
How about a piece of news?
Pharrell Collaborating With Velvet Revolver
"Despite rumors that Velvet Revolver members Slash and Duff McKagan will rejoin Guns N' Roses for a summer tour, the group is actually at work on its sophomore RCA album with an unlikely collaborator: uber hip-hop producer Pharrell Williams."-

Oh, something I relised.
Slash owns the rights to the 2 pistols wrapped in Roses logo right?
Well seeing how it's in the new logo...
I'm getting more and more suspisous.
NO, slash doesn't own the rights to it (why the fuck do people keep saying that/?
)
his father drew it, but axl owns it

For the last time.. that logo is NOT official.
It's promoter made and it wasn't made from the Gnr camp.
That's all.
give the source dude!
HE doens't have a source, it's just his opinion (like always) although I of course agree with him (like always) since he seems to be more level headed than most people on this board. but he has no inside source

Actually, I admitted I was wrong, that logo was created by someone in the gnr camp.
